A healthcare provider and medical billing company owner explains why insurance companies are universally despised. He details how they obstruct patient care and drain resources from the system, drawing on his direct experience in the industry.
Hysterical that in today's climate you can't say anything without offending someone politically. Right. Except you can say one thing that everyone agrees. Yeah, Insurance companies are evil. Like, if you say that, everyone just nods and agrees and moves on with their day. What's with that? We just accept the fact that we have this completely suppressive force. It's because we don't know what to do about it. Right. But as a healthcare provider and someone who's owned a private practice for years and then later owned a medical billing company, I will tell you, it is straight up scary how intentional those insurance companies are at keeping your money and not paying the doctors. It's ridiculous. They're increasing cost and then they have these PR campaigns that make it seem like they're there to help everybody. At the end of the day, we have to remember who the enemy is. And it's not them individually, it's the system. It's not. There's wonderful people working in those companies, but it's the system that's so broken, we need to fix it. J.
