Why I’m Building a 9-Figure Company Just to Give It Away

Every company should begin with an exit plan. After we create the initial cultural foundation, after we start having monetization occur immediately, we need to turn our minds towards an exit plan. Why would you want to do that in your first year or two of owning a business? Because when we don't know the end in mind, we don't know what we're building towards. So for me, I'm building this virtual assistant company and I'm building it to four. I want to hire 4,444 virtual assistants. That's like the BHAG, the big hairy on the goal for my company. But what do I want to do to exit? I already know I want to do an esop. I want to sell my company back to my employees. They don't know this yet, but that's my big vision, is by building and strengthening families, which is our company purpose, I'm going to grow to this nine figure amount of a company just to sell it to them. I want to raise the tide. So having that as my marker helps me recruit, helps me retain, helps me, helps me stay focused. Because there's a lot of opportunities out there, but nothing matters to me more than that one.
