Will Humphreys gives a first-person assessment of whether to buy a home hyperbaric chamber. He frames the choice as individualized: the device has been life-changing for his family (one member has a brain injury) and for his personal stress relief, but machines are expensive — he quotes a typical cost range — so recommendation depends on a buyer’s medical needs and ability to pay.

So would I recommend someone buying a hyperbaric chamber in their home as a business leader or owner? That's a mixed answer. The reason being is because although this has changed my life and it's been an incredible investment in my entire family, we have a member of our family who has a brain injury. So that makes it a totally different scenario because of the cost of these things. These costs can range from $15,000 to $50,000, depending on the type of machine that you get. So that price point is going to be individualized and what you need. But there's a lot of things out there in the world that are there to, like, provide you with benefit. Very few things are as powerful as this. So my recommendation is going to be individualized based on the person's situation. In my case, as someone who stresses out quite a bit, who's doing a lot, this has been almost life saving for me, even though it wasn't the primary reason why I bought it. So again, that's going to depend on your situation and your ability. But at the end of the day, the benefits can't be beat. The this has been a huge game changer for my entire family.
