Yolanda Russo treats facial care like a gym workout, starting with 30 seconds of running in place and ten deep breathing cycles to boost blood flow and oxygen to your skin. She explains that increased circulation delivers nutrients and prevents wrinkles and dark circles before a facial massage.

You can go to the gym and build muscles and keep yourself toned and fit. The same applies to the skin of the face. As we age, the gravity unfortunately takes over and drops everything down. Okay, so first we want to do a warm-up. The warm-up is going to be something that will increase the blood flow. It will bring the fresh Nutrient-rich blood into your skin, into your eyes, into your forehead and those lines. And how do we do this? We do that by means of exercising. So if you had done gym this morning, you're ready to go. If you haven't, I want you to run in place for 30 seconds. Get yourself oxygenated. Get yourself a little warmed up. The blood flows a little bit faster, and this will help us to achieve. The result that we're looking for. And then do breathing exercising. We're gonna take a deep breath in, hold, and breathe out. We're gonna repeat this 10 times, 10 deep breaths. Most of the times we are stressed out, we don't really take time to take care of ourselves, and we hold our breath. Holding our breath causes lines, wrinkles, and of course, dark circles. We are going to address all of that later, but for now, just know that we need to do these 2 basic steps before every time before you start massaging your skin. If you are eating healthy, if you're nutrifying your body and you keep that antioxidant level in the blood high, now your skin is going to be happy. It's gonna receive all the nutrients into the tissues. It's gonna be flooded with vitamins.
