The video captures a live rendition of the traditional folk song "God's Gonna Cut You Down" performed by the Aaron Jaxon Band. The performance opens with a spoken, poetic monologue that references biblical imagery, moral judgment, and the inevitability of divine retribution, setting a contemplative tone. The band then delivers the song’s verses, repeatedly emphasizing the refrain "the gods gonna cut you down" while interweaving vivid metaphors such as "long tongue liar" and "big mouth rider." The lyrical delivery is raw and rhythmic, underscored by acoustic instrumentation. After the song, the lead vocalist thanks the audience, introduces the group as the Aaron Jaxon Band, and expresses gratitude for the venue’s hospitality. The content showcases the band’s interpretive approach to a classic hymn, blending spoken word, folk-rock arrangement, and audience engagement.

Cut you down. Cut you down. Go tell that long tongue liar. Go tell that big mountain rider. Tell the reindeer, the camel, or the backbiter. Tell them the gods gonna cut you down. Tell them the gods gonna cut you down. My head's been wedged by the midnight dew. I've been down on bended knee talking to the man from Galilee. He spoke to me in a voice so sweet, I thought I heard the shepherd of angels speak. He spoke my name and my heart stood still. He said, boy, go do my will. Don't tell that long tongue liar. Don't tell that big mouth rider. Tell the rambling with the gambler, that fighter, The gods will cut him down. Time, the gods will cut him down. You can't run on for a long time. Run on for a long time. Run on for a long time. Soon or later, God will cut you down. Soon or later, God will cut you down. Soon or later, God will cut you down. Thank you so much, guys. We're the Aaron Jaxon Band. Thanks for having us. Thank you.
