Why Don't You Just Build Your Own Funnels? - Part 2
25 Oct 2016 · 7 min
Russell Brunson shares how Inner Circle members Brandon and Kaelyn rebuilt their company culture in months, cutting churn by 10% and selling $25,000 in t-shirts in a day. He argues entrepreneurs are ready to launch funnels now, without waiting for permission or a mentor's approval.

Welcome to Marketing Your Car, the podcast for funnel hackers everywhere. You're now part of a small group of underground entrepreneurs who are trying to change the world through the products and the services that we believe in. But because we don't rely on venture capitalists, we don't have financial safety nets. So we have to do things differently. We have to do things smarter. We do that through an art and a science we call funnel hacking. This podcast will give you a glimpse at the daily life of a funnel hacker. So let's get started. Hey everyone, this is Russell Brunson and I am heading home from the first days of the Inner Circle which were just amazing and a little tired, a little worn out and have 2 more days the next 2 days so I gotta get some good rest tonight and start over the party tomorrow with the next group of our awesome members and looking forward to it. But just wanted a couple things. First off, I know before I headed in Monday I talked a little bit about just the fact that like I want people taking the stuff and running with it. I had a couple people who messaged me afterwards and I wasn't speaking so much about anyone specifically, but as a whole I want everyone believing more in themselves. And that's the message I was trying to get out. And I was probably ranting a little bit, I don't remember. And so I didn't, I don't want anyone to think that I was mad at them specifically, but I do want people to believe that like you're good enough now, like you're ready, you can do it. And so hopefully that was the message you got 'cause that was the message that was intended. It's funny, it's interesting, like in our coaching programs, that's a commonality. It's like very— I do a lot of coaching, but the majority of it is really like people asking for permission. It's like, hey, I think I should do this, what do you think? I'm like, yeah, that's awesome, or, you know, maybe not. But that's what a lot of people need, and I get that. I'm in the same spot. I've got my own coaches in different aspects of my life. But I would say for most people, like, give yourself permission. You can do it. You're good enough. And so use that as fuel on that side. Hopefully there was nothing negative that you guys got from that. That was not my intention. Sometimes I push record when I'm in a weird mood. But there you go. Alright, so a couple of cool things from Inner Circle today. One thing that's interesting that I found, this is kind of funny. So with, you know, like when you learn from somebody and you like, you see them from afar for a long time, like their name is their name, right? Like for example, Mark Joyner was my first mentor. So I always called him Mark Joyner, Mark Joyner, Mark Joyner. So the other week when Mark was out here working, in fact I just said right now I feel awkward. When Mark Joyner was here, it was funny 'cause like Brandon, that was doing the video stuff, he kept calling him Mark and I was like, man, like his name's not Mark, it's Mark Joyner, like why are you disrespecting him? Like that's how I felt. And I realized that, I was like, huh, and I didn't think too much about it 'til I realized recently that like almost all the Inner Circle people, when they say something to me, it's never hey Russell, it's always hey Russell Brunson. And I think it's so interesting 'cause I totally get it because like for me Mark Joyner was my mentor and like it was Mark Joyner, Mark Joyner, Tony Robbins, like I never called him Tony, like I'd feel awkward calling him that. Anyway, just kind of a fun thing I noticed, like tons of people here just keep calling me Russell Brunson and I'm like, it's funny 'cause like in your normal life you never call somebody their full name but in like those situations where it's like, anyway, it's just, it's so, it was fascinating to me. So I thought it was kind of cool and I definitely look at that as like a term of endearment which is kind of cool. So anyway, I'll leave that there. And the last cool thing I'll share and then I'm almost home which is kind of nice 'cause I need some sleep. With our inner circle groups, we have a Monday/Tuesday group and then a Wednesday/Thursday and then Tuesday night we have a big dinner with both groups. So we just did that tonight, I just got out of it. And it was cool because Brandon and Kaelyn, they, at the last inner circle meeting, one of our big themes is, and if you follow along the podcast, I'm sure you heard it, was all about building your culture and like what do you gotta do to build that up and to grow it. And it was really, really cool. They are some of the fastest implementers I've ever met, hands down ever. And so they basically, went home and on the flight home they're like, okay, we're building the culture. And they changed their branding, their name, their Facebook, like everything they redid in the last 4 months. And they came back tonight and showed like, this is everything we've done based on, you know, 3 months ago to build our culture out. And it was amazing. If you're in the Inner Circle, we Facebook Live into the Inner Circle Facebook group. So you guys who are Inner Circle members can go watch that. And if you're not, like it's time to join the Inner Circle. What are you waiting for? Oh, maybe the fact that it's pretty much sold out. But anyway, there may be, maybe you can beg your way in if you're not in yet. But it was amazing, it was like thing after thing after, like I was taking notes as fast as I could and it was amazing. But the coolest thing is like the result of them focusing on building a culture and all these kind of things and it's crazy. Like their churn decreased by 10%, which is like hundreds of thousands of dollars, right? They now do these, kind of like with our Funnel Swag t-shirts we do, they do these funnels, They do these LadyBoss swag launches where they're like, we bought 100 of, you know, we have this new t-shirt design, there's 100 in these sizes, go! First come, first serve, and when they're gone, they're gone. And they'll sell $25,000 worth of a t-shirt in 24 hours and they close it out. And then they're doing those kind of things and they're using it to fill their programs and to upsell people and to upgrade and to get people to actually fulfill and like get things done and lose weight and there's all this built-in accountability and like, it was amazing to see what they created just from like this thought that we had about building your culture. So for any of you guys who heard me talking about that over the last few months, it's time to start running and doing like they do. Because man, 3.5, 4 months later, to see what's happened because of that and because of their action based on that has been amazing. So there you go, guys. I'm doing it. If you wanna watch Brandon and Kaitlyn, they're doing it. A bunch of other people in our groups are doing it. It's time for you to do it as well. So there you go. I'm at home, you guys. Appreciate you all. Have an amazing night. Know that I care about you guys and that if I ever say anything mean, it's not to be mean, it's to hopefully get you guys to take action because you are good enough, you can do it, the people that you serve deserve it, so there you go. Thanks everybody, have a good night, and we'll talk to you soon. Thanks so much for listening. We hope you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at our funnel hacking project.
