Short motivational talk by Kevin Ray Ward explaining that fear—of rejection, failure, mistakes, change, success, confrontation, and loss of comfort—often prevents people from taking action. He argues that the solution is to 'lean into' fear, prepare, and act because opportunities and solutions lie on the other side of fear.

The people who save the day are the ones who have no fear. They're the ones who can face the fear and do it anyway. So I won't say they have no fear. I'm going to say they're the ones that, like, leaned into the fear. The things that we allow ourselves to be afraid of most of the time are not worth being afraid of. But we get this fear of them, and then we hide from the fear, we avoid it, we run away from it. Fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear making mistakes, fear of trying something new, fear of success, fear of a comfort zone, fear of confrontation, fear of, you know, having having a collision in a relationship when you need to have that conversation but you don't want to have a fight, you don't want to blow up, whatever. And the solution is almost always on the other side of your fear. And what do you have to do? You just have to walk into the fear. You have to go in prepared, know you're prepared, know you're ready, and just go ahead and overcome the fear. And when you overcome the fear, you could actually overcome the real enemy, the real thing that is stopping you, the real problem, the real challenge, or take advantage of the real opportunity. It's always on the other side of your fear. Stop letting fear stop you.
