WHY INDECISION IS KILLING YOUR REAL ESTATE BUSINESS | Kevin Ray Ward

Kevin Ray Ward argues that indecision in real estate comes from childhood fear of mistakes. He says you get better at decisions by making them and adjusting course, not by waiting for certainty. Men stuck in divorce often delay selling the family home, and that hesitation costs them money.
While the masses spend their days dominated by doubt, distraction and dead ends. The masters go through their day on fire. My friend. Welcome to the fire zone.
You have to make decisions faster. This has been. If I could go back and relive my life, relive my adult life, here would be the single biggest thing I would change. I would make decisions faster. Hey there, it's your coach, Kevin Ray Ward with your firezone message of the day. And here's. Here's one of the hardest things for us to do, and that is make decisions. Like literally choose, make a decision. I'm gonna go A or B, a go boom. Done. We don't like making decisions because we don't like making mistakes. And when you make a choice, there's always possibility you're going to make a mistake, you're going to mess up. And we were programmed. Ever since we were little kids, we were programmed. What mistakes? Worst possible thing that could happen to you. Make a mistake, mess up. That is the worst possible thing you can do. In school you are programmed failing mistake. Mistakes are the one thing you must avoid at all cost. And so what are decisions? They're. They're making choices. They're creating the potential to make a mistake. What if I make a wrong choice? What if I do the wrong thing? What if I regret it? What if, what if, what if, what if, what if? And, and so we spend our life, or countless hours and time in our life avoiding making mistakes, I. E. We call it thinking about it, considering it, looking at my options, praying about it. Just like processing. And what we're doing is we're actually avoiding making decisions because we're afraid of making mistakes. But here's what I have seen, observed and learned. And that is the only way you're going to learn how to make decisions faster and better is to make more decisions faster and better. And it's like anything in life. If you want to be really good at something, do a lot of it. If you want to really be good at objection handling, do a lot of it. But to get to the point of objection handling, you have to hear a lot of objections, which means you have to get into a lot of conversations where you could get rejected, where you could fail, right? You want to get really, really good at making three point shots. That means you got to take a lot of three point shots. You gotta. And every time you take one, you stand the possibility of missing. But it's only through taking the shots and missing and doing it again and again that you're gonna get better. And Better and better. Same thing with making decisions. And I was talking to a couple guys on a call today, and I was crazy of how both of them were so resistant to actually making a decision to move forward in their life out of the divorce pit. Now, their situations are both different. There are different points in the divorce, and. And the decisions that they were needing to make were different. Like, one of them was whether or not sell. To sell the family home. And it's like, what do you know has to happen for you to move forward and win in your life? And what do you know has to happen when this divorce is final? The house is going to be sold. I mean, it just is. It's just that's what's going to happen. And he's so resented. Like, I don't. I know, but I don't want to make a decision. And I'm waiting to see what she says. And all this. I'm like, dude, make the decision. Take action. Because when you know what's going to happen or you know what needs to be done, you have to be willing to take to make the decision and move. Otherwise, we waste so many hours and months and years of our life trying to not make a decision. And the way you get from point A to point B faster is to go, to start to make the decision to move and course correct along the way. So where have you been avoiding making decisions? And it may be like saying, I know I need to do this, but I. I just did. I'm. I'm waiting. I'm waiting for the right moment, all this kind of stuff. And it's. You're like, I've already made the decision. You just have to take action. No, when you make a decision, you don't take action on it. You have really haven't made a decision. You just. You just did all. You just did the easy part. You did the talking. Now it's time to do the walking. So do the walking, my friend. Where have you been avoiding decisions? Make it go and win.
