You call a prospect and they say, "Yeah, we decided we're not going to move. We decided we're not going to sell." And you don't get the appointment. And so you say, "Okay, well," you sniffle a little bit and you go like, "Well, if anything changes, let me know." And then you never call them again. They told me they decided not to sell, and then they decided to sell. You see, the brutal truth is you didn't lose the deal because you were bad at real estate. You lost because you quit. You lost because you didn't follow up. And it's one of the most common and one of the most expensive mistakes that agents make, and most of them never even realize they're making it.
