In a single‑speaker video, the presenter outlines three core reasons why Aerodrome Finance (AERO) is a compelling long‑term crypto investment. First, Aerodrome serves as the primary liquidity layer for Coinbase’s Base blockchain, effectively acting as the institutional gateway for over 100 million Coinbase app users, with only about 5 % currently using Base’s DEX – implying a potential 20× user expansion. Second, the protocol generates real cash flow, reporting $309 million in annualized revenue and a 66 % earnings‑on‑yield, while its tokenomics reward vArrow lockers with 100 % of trading fees and bribes, and a $2.1 million token buyback with burn mechanics that create a deflationary pressure. Third, Aerodrome is expanding beyond Base via its MetaDEX technology across more than ten EVM chains, already capturing 44‑60 % of Base DEX volume and targeting $2 billion in monthly Layer‑2 trading volume by Q2 2026, which would represent 10‑15 % of all Layer‑2 DEX activity. The speaker frames these points as evidence that AERO is undervalued and positioned to dominate the decentralized exchange ecosystem.

Here's 3 reasons why I think Aerodrome Finance will dominate the decentralized exchange space. I personally believe it's a really good longer-term safer hold for a lot of people. Be careful with that word safe because in crypto pretty much nothing is safe, but in the context of the crypto market, this is definitely a safer coin. The first main reason is because it's pretty much the institutional gateway. It's essentially the main liquidity layer for all of the Base platform itself. So Coinbase created a blockchain called Base, and most of the trading happens on Aerodrome Finance, the biggest decentralized exchange. If people use the Coinbase app, which has 100 million+ users, they're accessing Aerodrome's liquidity pools without leaving the platform. It's like behind Coinbase and it's behind Base itself. Aerodrome Finance is the default liquidity layer for one of the crypto's largest retail gateways. And the crazy part about it is only 5% of Coinbase's user base is currently trading on the Base decentralized exchange. So people haven't caught up to Web 3.0 trading yet. So we have a 20x expansion opportunity as soon as the altcoins start popping off. We're gonna see everybody leaving the Web 2.0 world and coming into the Web 3.0 world and trading on Aerodrome. That's a 20x expansion opportunity. Not only that, but it's a legitimate genuine business. $309 million in annualized revenue. That's a 66% earnings on yield, meaning the protocol generates more in annual fees than it's worth at current price, meaning this is undervalued. The project itself is undervalued. Like it actually generates revenue, which is very rare in crypto. It actually has a very unique real use case. And they have a lot of people locking up the coin because if you do lock up Arrow for 4 years, you become a vArrow voter and you receive 100% of all trading fees, which you do not find in crypto anywhere at all, and 100% of all protocol bribes. 100%. Nothing goes to the original creators or anything like that. That's insane. There's some active vArrow holders earning 50% APR on stablecoin rewards because they locked it up. So there's a lot of people locking it up. Again, that's demand for the token itself. Also, they have a public goods fund that executed a $2.1 million buyback of their own tokens on November 8th, 2025, with an additional V-AERO burn mechanics in place. They, they have a deflationary model that takes more Aerodrome off the market, increasing the price. What you guys got to mainly comprehend is that most crypto projects have zero cash flow, and they're winning that game. Number 3, cost chain, superchain dominance. Now, they are currently dominating Base, but they're not going to just stay on Base. They got 44% to 60% of all DEX volume, but they're going to other chains now. They have MetaDEX technology and they're going across 10+ EVM chains. They're already dominating Optimism's ecosystem and they're just going to continue to dominate other places because of their technology. And they're claiming $2 billion in monthly Layer 2 trading volume by Q2 of 2026. For context, that will represent 10 to 15% of all Layer 2 DEX activity. Again, they're dominating Base, which I believe is the best layer right now, but they're going to start dominating everybody else. We're gonna talk about more reasons in the future, so follow for more updates.
