Mastercard and SoFi just put crypto behind everyday card payments. This is massive. The card program is expected to handle over $25 billion a year, and the customer can actually keep using the same card that they already had without any crypto being a problem. You have to think about the coffee shops, right? You tap your card, you get your coffee and leave. Your part is done, but the owner still needs that that money to actually reach their business, crypto's not effective in that. These workers have to pay, you know, for supplies and things like that. The sooner the shop gets paid, the sooner it can use that money again. And that is the whole point of SoFi and Mastercard announcing on September 22nd, they're already moving real payments through this system. SoFi is moving its credit and debit card businesses onto this entire new system. The money actually moves using something called SoFi USD, which is an actual stablecoin, a type of crypto designed to stay the worth $1, and it's built for making payments and payments alone. So instead of asking a customer to buy crypto, the companies use it behind the scenes. So you pay with your card and the businesses can receive dollars in its SoFi bank account. The shop owner doesn't need to set up a crypto trading desk to accept crypto, and nobody has to explain digital wallets to somebody ordering, you know, coffee. SoFi says businesses using its banking service can receive these payments instantly. Without having to wait 3 days. Its chief executive says that they can withdraw cash around the clock. Imagine getting through a busy week and having that money available to restock instantly. Guys, I run a business and I gotta wait like 3 to 10 days for some payouts. It's annoying. And that's a lot of reasons why business owners actually care. Money sitting in the payment process can't pay for tomorrow's supplies, and there's a massive delay. Now let me be clear about the $25 billion number. It's expected at a yearly pace of payments for the card program. It doesn't mean $25 billion has already moved on crypto, and this covers SoFi's cards. It doesn't mean every MasterCard payment worldwide has switched over, but we do see companies that are now integrating crypto because of the benefits. The companies announced their partnership back in March, and now they've confirmed that real payments are moving. What makes all of this interesting is that the bank owner gets his money way faster and the experience feels the exact same. You don't need to change how you buy your coffee. The owner doesn't need to become a crypto expert. It just works and everybody's happy. The same purchases can get money into the business faster, and that's a massive use of a reason why crypto technology is better.
