Most new coins have zero value because they lack a liquidity pool. A token needs real assets like USDC or ETH backing it to be tradeable. Without a pool, there's no market to buy or sell it, so it's worthless.
If you make a coin, it is essentially valueless. All of you can go right now on Pump That Fund, click one time and make a coin, but nobody's going to buy it. Nobody cares. The only thing that gives it value is the liquidity pool. So if your coin has zero liquidity, it is worthless. But if it has a liquidity pool of, let's say, $100,000, that means that there's $50,000 in USDC or ETH, which is real value compared to your coin. So now your coin actually has value because you can buy and sell it. But if you can't buy and sell it, there's nothing. It's pretty much worthless until you can buy and sell it.
