Why I'd Lose $5.2 Million All Over Again to Get Where I Am Now

In this testimonial-style video, Alexander Lorenzo (Speaker A) recounts his dramatic rise and fall as an entrepreneur, detailing how he amassed $5.2 million, built a company with 46 employees, and then lost everything after a spiritual conversion to Christianity. He describes the ensuing financial collapse, mental‑health breakdown, addiction, and a hospital stay, followed by a dramatic spiritual deliverance in which his brother, a pastor, cast out a demon and instantly cured his substance‑use issues. Lorenzo attributes the loss and subsequent recovery to his relationship with God, arguing that wealth without divine guidance is inevitably compromised. He explains how his attachment to money manifested as idolatry, how the devil “exalts” those who pursue profit without God, and how he now rebuilds his business on a “kingdom” foundation—fewer employees, better trained staff, and profits guided by prayer rather than profit‑first decisions. Throughout, he warns non‑Christians to click away, urges believers to prioritize faith over finance, and shares concrete milestones such as winning a “school games” competition with Alex Hormozi and making high‑risk crypto trades after his prayer‑driven turnaround. The video serves both as a cautionary tale and a call to trust God for financial and personal restoration.
Chapters
I was completely broke. I made $5.2 million, had 46 employees. I lost it all when I came to Christ. Not before I came to Christ, after I came to Christ. And then I made a whole bunch more money after that, and God brought me back with more peace, family time, with no addiction. I want to be very clear. Let's make a little warning for you guys. If you're not Christian, if you don't believe in Jesus, and you, you think you get offended when I talk about God, I need you to click off this video immediately. It's not for you. This is for people that understand the grace that God has, 'cause he's so beautiful. And he's, he's, bro, like you, when I tell you this story, some of you're not gonna believe it. Actually, I took receipts. So there's another video with this exact background. I did it on purpose. You see the background? You see this area? I have another video on my YouTube channel. We're gonna have Victor cut some parts in, and you gotta link it below so you can go watch it. When I was dead broke, when I had no money, When I lost everything. It's been a very bumpy ride, guys. I've lost millions of dollars. I lost everything. Listen to what I'm saying, bro. A lot of people don't get this. They don't know what it feels like to lose everything. And if you lose everything, you lost like $10,000. Some people knows what it feels like to lose $5.2 million, right? 46 employees. The employees, my Tesla, all of this infrastructure, this crazy empire. Completely gone in the dust. It's not just about the money loss. It's about the, like, my identity, because I didn't understand God. I didn't understand who he was. I didn't understand his love. So I felt led to make this video. And the reason why is because I believe the Holy Spirit told me to make this video. There's a specific timing he told me to do this for whatever reason, whatever his plan is. I don't understand it sometimes. Almost all the time I don't understand it. But I'm going to go through the entire story from start to finish with no detail left out. Because people think that this is a joke, it's a gimmick. People think that it's fake, and I get why you think it's fake, because half of the entire social media is fake. People only show their highlights. They know they show nothing wrong. I'll never forget it, the day I was— when I was completely broke, I couldn't even pay rent. You guys can go watch the video, and I'm making a video telling people how much money I lost and how I lost everything. I'll never forget it. I went to somebody and I told them, and they told me that I shouldn't have did that. And I know it was from God because telling people the truth publicly makes other people uncomfortable, right? Nobody wants to say the things that suck because they're identifying with— that's the core of it. They identify with the failure. I do not identify with the failure. I believe God is the truth. So let me give you the background story, okay? So long story short, I didn't know God, and I used rejection to fuel me into making a business. What is rejection? Rejection is the pain of someone denying you in an area. It could be a girl rejecting you, it could be an employer firing you, whatever it is. My entire life I got rejected and I didn't understand what emotions were. I didn't understand spiritual atmospheres. I didn't understand all of these things and how it can wreck you and traumatize you. And so all of my decisions were fueled by trying to get women, make as much money, and get as much power as possible. And once you do it enough, it works. I started my entrepreneurship journey at the age of like 20, 21 years old. I made my first million at 25. I used fuel to push me. I would get angry. I would get— I would lose on something. I wouldn't make money, or I would get fired, whatever. I'd get angry. It would fuel me to go super hard into work, and then I would do something crazy, and it would like either fail or make me money. I just kept going and falling flat on my face from the ages of 20 to 25 until something worked, and it did. The devil will exalt you. You can make— bro, I'm gonna be straight up. I was talking to God about this the other day. If you have a lot of money and you don't know God, you know nothing. Zero. You know nothing. In my eyes, you are ignorant to reality because you don't know that the devil gave you that money in the first place. You can't even make money without his approval. And I know also there is 3 separate parts of the same God— Father, Son, and Holy Spirit— straight up. Like, I don't care doctrine, we can argue all day, I do not care. I experienced the power of God. He is real. It's gonna be straight up, he is real.
I experienced it.
We can go back and forth, we can look at this scripture, that scripture, sure. I'm not an apologist, but I know God because I experience him on a daily. But the main point I'm trying to explain to you guys is that a relationship with God is the most important thing possible. And so I'm going through this process, and essentially I lose everything, and he is the only one that I can rely on. So I'm going through this process without knowing God. The devil exalts me. If you make money without God, then I know that you had to compromise. I know for a fact somewhere you either lied, somewhere where you compromised in the work, or you like said you were going to do something, you didn't actually do it, and then you covered it up. For a fact, there's compromise. There's only 2 lanes, through God or the devil. That's it. And the devil will force you to submit under his will, which is evil. The devil will force you to submit. And some people are like, well, Alex, what are you talking about? You'll get it one day. The devil offered, you know, to buy my soul at one point through another person for a fact, no ifs, ands, or buts. And so I know this firsthand. But long story short, I'm going through and I'm getting rich, right? Then the bear market hits. I made a whole bunch of money, had 46 employees, and I had— I start hemorrhaging because I didn't know business. I was a new business guy. I knew trading a lot. My first cycle in 2017, I made a lot of money off trading. Didn't know, didn't start any business. My second cycle, I made a lot of money off of trading and starting a business, but I didn't know business acumen. I had no business acumen. I didn't understand anything about hiring. I didn't understand anything at all. So I blew all of my money, lost hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in hiring the wrong people and building the business bad. And that led me into depression. It led me into like these crazy thoughts, right? Because I thought I didn't idolize money. I thought money didn't control my life. You know, I used to tell myself the same things that all the self-help gurus tell you, where it's like, oh man, you got to put money under control, you can manifest all that.
I can manifest the money here, man. Money is just a tool.
All the same figures of speech I went through too, okay? And I thought that I didn't have an attachment to money. The people that say that they don't have an attachment to money are usually the ones that have an attachment of money. I promise you, like, there's no way around it. Like, you could say that you don't have an attachment to money, but every decision you make is for money. If you make a decision based off of how much time you can save or how much money you can make, you literally revolve your life around money. That is an attachment to money for a fact. If every decision you make, if it's going to make me or lose me money or save me time, and it's— and if you're a resource-driven mindset like that, that's an attachment to money. I don't make decisions based off if it's going to make me money or lose money. I make decisions based off if God told me to do it or not, regardless if it makes me money or loses money. Right? So I'm going through this process of not thinking I'm idolizing money, but I am completely, literally rising, rising, rising. I start losing money, it starts driving me insane. I have a full testimonial. I'll have Victor link that below on the spiritual side of it. That's not the goal of this video, but I go into detail with my brother. My brother's lead pastor of the RROC. We went into extreme detail about how I basically went mentally insane and found God. I went mentally insane. I went to a mental hospital and everything. My brother says one prayer over me, casts a demon out of my body. A demon came out of my body. I was completely cured of smoking addiction, all drug addiction, and cheating on my wife instantly with one prayer. I was cured by the Holy Spirit. So that's kind of the short footnotes of it. And then people don't know this, but I still had a lot of money after I came to Christ. And now this is where we continue. This is the continuation of the video.
I go down even more.
I start losing more money, having to let go of more people. People stab me in the back. People—
crazy.
The amount of things that have happened to me even after when I came to Christ was insane. I would say the worst of it happened in Christ, but I had someone to go to. I had God to go to. So I keep going down. I keep going down and down and down, losing more money, bro. I get to the point where I can't pay rent. Like, imagine having $5.2 million and 46 employees and being a guy that knows how to invest in crypto to not being able to pay rent. And at the lowest of the low bottom, I record— I think it was a 45-minute video where I went into detail.
Not at the top, not now when I made the money back. At the bottom, at the bottom, I made the video when I'm dead broke.
You can go watch it for yourself, and hopefully that relates to people who are dealing with it right now. You're not alone, bro.
This is how it looks. All these business owners guys that you look up to, they go through this.
They just don't record it and put on the internet because they believe that their performance is who they are. They don't record input on the internet. So at the exact bottom, you can go watch the video for yourself. Look into great detail, right? So that's kind of like up to that point where I actually lose all my money and pay rent. Now let's talk about what's happening now. Now God is bringing it back, right? Not as much cash like I'm making five point two million. But more profit now, less employees, and the employees are way better trained, way better in every aspect than it was and how I was handling it before. Like, way better. God builds different.
God builds significant. When he— when God builds—
and I'm not saying I'm God, I'm saying God's working through me, right? If you can rely on the way on God and make him the cornerstone of your building as a kingdom business owner or a kingdom trader, whatever. If you could really— like, bro, I was talking to this other dude and he's making decisions on his career based off of how much money he's gonna make, right? He's literally trading, making profit, and he thinks that the profit is a confirmation of what God tells him to do with his life. That is idolatry, right? I don't make decisions Based off of what makes me money. That is the core of this. That is the point when it says that you can't put God under money, when it says the love of money is the root of all evil. That is the core of this. Everybody's like, oh, but it says the love of money. Yeah, but you won't go to dinner with your friends from church because you think you can't afford it.
That right there is a decision of idolatry. When God wants you to go hang with your friends, But you can't make the math work in your bank account because you think that you're losing money and you make a decision based off mammon.
That is idolatry. That is the core of this.
Or you make a business decision because it's gonna make you a whole bunch of money or get you a whole bunch of popularity when God told you not to do that business decision and you do it anyways because of financial benefit. That is the love of money, person listening to this video here. That is the love of money. Regardless if you see it as that or not, If your decision processes take into consideration a financial aspect over God's word, that is, sir, idolatry. Listen, I don't make business decisions. There's a complete reliance on God to handle my problems. For real, for real, not for fake, for real. He really does actually have to make it happen in a way where I cannot see it. Like when I couldn't see myself paying rent, I was like, bro, I don't know what— I've just accepted it. I'm going to get evicted.
It's going to be on my record. I'm probably going to have to move in with my brother or my parents for a couple months.
I have to get a job after losing $5.2 million and 46 employees and not having any experience on my resume. I got to go do it and figure it out by the grace of God. I had to come into agreement and terms with that in my mind and still worship God. Even I don't care, even though knowing the entire time the Bible says that that he gives you the ability to get rich. I have the skill set to do it, and there's other people that are unsaved making money. I am going completely broke, inhibited by the hand of God to train me, to train me in things that nobody else can understand. The anointing, the anointing of finance kingdom building, not you being able to freaking put up a website, okay, and put up a trading journal and make a trade. That's easy. The crushing of the spirit, the school of the spirit, is the thing that a lot of you are missing. You have no character and integrity. You fold when things come up and you come against God, which— amen, bro. The Bible says that he died for your sins and that you're going to be imperfect. We all know that. Like, that's the truth. But why not try to get better? Because you love him, because you love who he is. You love the fact that he is willing to be patient with you. Why can't you just change? Why can't you make that decision and default to God and be like, you know what, I'm not gonna take that new business until I get a confirmation from God. I'm not gonna support my cognitive bias of me being a trader, or I'm not going to force myself into a podcast or this new vicinity of life until God confirms it. Affirms it until he shows me his love. That is the type of way we should be thinking about this process.
And through this process of being built by that, making decisions based off what God says— what does the Bible say, what does he say—
I slowly but surely start to get it back, all of it, to the point where I win the school games with Alex Hormozi. I went from like $5,000 a month to like $95,000 a month in one month's time.
Wow.
by the hand of God. I had a dream that I was gonna win before it happened. Do you understand? Before I won the school games with Alex Hormozi, I had a legitimate dream that I was casting demons out of them. And then it happened. I was in Vegas with them telling them about God. So I'm telling you, bro, I didn't even win the school games. I relied on God. I didn't even think it was fathomable, whatever the word is. I didn't even think it was gonna happen. Like, bro, I didn't even conceive it. The Bible says that he exceeds your desires. He gives you more than you can even desire or conceive. I win the school games, I made a whole bunch of money, then I make these crazy trades— Pendle Finance, Aerodrome, Zora— these crazy trades.
And bro, I'm slowly but surely building it back, and it's better.
It's with a strong foundation and never comes down, and he always comes through. I don't know who this video is for. I don't know who it's for. I think a lot of people are in pain right now with crypto.
I get it, bro.
I get it. It sucks. But the goodness of God is bigger than all of your problems. In that pain, you can find peace. You can rely on God. You can do it, bro.
Like, I don't know what you— like, in your own strength, you can't do nothing.
But with God, you can.
In that moment when I couldn't pay rent and I was looking for a job, I was weeping. It was 11 AM and I was weeping and I just came back from looking for a job and getting rejected. And I went from completely depressed and weeping, like as a failure of a man, to basically fully like excited, make a video and it generates me enough income to pay my rent, sustained for 6 months. And then I get, after the 6 months, I get exalted and God gives me the school games. I won the school games.
And then ever since then, it's just been small win here, small win here, just stacking up wins to be in the financial situation I'm in.
Building with God is better. I don't know who needs to hear that, but it's the truth. So to bring it home for you guys, this is the video that comes after the last one. This is in real time, the realness of God being shown to you on your YouTube, like literally, bro.
You've seen I'm not deleting no video.
I've seen a lot of Christians that'll go delete their own old music or delete their videos from the world.
I ain't, bro.
The glory of God will be shown through my videos. You will see the old Alex, the bad Alex that used to get drunk every weekend by VIP in Wynwood, do a whole bunch of drugs, and a delinquent Alex, a productive junkie, a productive junkie, bro. I used to rob people, bro.
You don't know— a lot of people don't know who I was.
I used to rob people.
I would do hard drugs, bro. Cocaine, Adderall consistently. I went to the hospital to get drained because I almost overdosed. I went mentally insane to now you're watching what I'm doing.
It's all by the grace of God. I am nothing but a man, bro. I'm, I'm telling, bro, I am telling you, you know when they go like— I always say this, I love saying this analogy because it really gives people perspective. And we're gonna finish this up.
Guy wins UFC fight or a boxing match, and he goes, man, all glory to God.
See, the problem with that— it's not a problem, you're giving glory to God— but there's kind of a problem because there's no context. No, bro, I'm telling you, God gave me handouts.
It's not a random figure of speech. Supernatural miracles in real time when I need it the most, at the exact moment. A father comes through for his son because his son relies on his father. That is actually what's happening in extreme detail. Thousands of moments where I did not know what to do, panicking all over the place, and God comes through in such a unique way. And he confirms by his signature from above that it is his mighty hand that took me out. All glory to God in every situation. Do you understand? In every detail. And every moment, it is God. That is the only thing that I have. I have nothing. My family's nothing. My employees, nothing. Every suit I have and every item is irrelevant. It is all dust and fake. The only thing that stands in eternal realm is my relationship with God. He is real. He is alive. And he is actively building my business. So the next video, when we're at 100 million, You're gonna watch this and you're gonna be like, oh my goodness, this man declared God and it really happened. The same time last time when I told you God was gonna bring it back when I was dead broke, he did it. And he's gonna do it again in front of your face. And some of you are gonna deny it because your heart is wicked and you'll never change. Because it's done from the beginning. You need to change now. It takes faith. You will never be perfect. Make the decision to follow Christ. There ain't no Muhammad, Buddha. It is all whack and fake. These— they're not real. It's a figment of your imagination. It's fake.
You're following because your parents told you.
Jesus is real. He's alive.
I don't care if I die on this earth. If I die, I do not care. Jesus is with me.
That's it.
I'm rocking out with Jesus to the end. He built my business from scratch. It is real as heck. Either this is real or I'm crazy. And you'll see when we level up how crazy I look.
