Coinbase's new products let merchants transact in USDC with zero fees and earn 4.1% APR, potentially saving hundreds of thousands annually on a $10 million business. The speaker argues this direct crypto approach beats XRP's bank integration strategy for global payments and remittances.

XRP holders are going to be really upset when they find out what just happened. And trust me, I'm not a hater. I just made a course in my community about the adoption of XRP and XLM with realistic timeframes. And it's the first coin course I put in my community. But of course, I'm going to be skeptical about XRP when I see that USDC now allows merchants, any business in the world to transact for no fee. Zero fee at all, like no fee at all. Coinbase just launched something called Base Pay. Base Pay is feeless. There is no fee. So all of these businesses that are doing, for example, $1 million, $10 million, or whatever the case is in transaction volume, are going to save hundreds of thousands of dollars if they get their users to use USDC at $100 million a month, you're saving $241,000 for no reason at all. Not to mention, I also get 4.1% back APR in USDC as a user if I pay with USDC, as well as the business themselves gets 4.1% back. If I'm a business doing $10 million a year, I can get Immediately 2.9% savings on transaction fees. And then at the same exact time, if I put that in USDC, I get 4.1% back APR. We're talking about $16 million, bro, over a 30-year period of time for no reason, just adopting this new payment method. Not to mention that Base Wallet allows USDC transactions for Free, for free. This means this entire global payment remittance market where you're sending money back home to Africa, whatever the case is, all these people sending money across the world, it is free. It's free. And right now the average traditional fee is 6.6%. So I can get yield at 4.1%, send it across the world for free, buy things for free, I don't know what to tell you, but XRP is trying to integrate into banks. Coinbase is trying to be the bank. I personally have enough proof to fully integrate into crypto instead of keeping my money on Wells Fargo. I don't know what else you need. Did you guys know Coinbase has a Coinbase card? Like, did you know that? Like, I am not getting paid by any Coinbase entities, by the way. I don't do that. That's paid sponsorships. I have to tell you, or the SEC can take me to jail. I'm just laying it out for you. Zero transaction fees is not a joke.
