Allie Bjerk explains why moving from cheap products to high-ticket coaching changes everything. Higher prices force real commitment from clients and signal that transformation actually costs something.
What is up everyone? Welcome back to another episode of what is now called the Ali Bierk show, where I share some of my morning musings as I typically get up at about 4 or 5am in the morning and spend some time with my journal and think about my business. And I've had a ton of clarity and aha moments and realizations and just thoughts about online business and funnels and marketing as they exist in my reality in the mornings. And I realized that there's actually a lot of potential value for you in learning from a some of my mistakes, but also b things that I'm working through and just sharing that in a more transparent way can make things feel easier for you as a business owner if you're experiencing something similar or if you have questions about something similar. So I am maybe entering season three of this podcast and making it more of a daily reflection on the state of business online business, specifically as experts and coaches and content creators, based on my own experience in doing it myself. So what I want to talk about this morning is something that I have talked about a lot in my business is creating what I've called and trademarked a tiny offer. So a tiny offer is essentially a system where you run ads to a sales page that's selling a product somewhere in the range of 27 to 37 $47, something less than 50 bucks. And the system that I have taught and basically made the foundation for my entire business does help people get more visible, helps them feel confident in launching a funnel and a digital product and creating something for the very first time. But as I'm watching ads shift and I'm watching just the ability to quickly launch ad, an ad become more challenging to set up your ad account and find your pixel and like just the ads manager itself is becoming infinitely more challenging to get in and set up your own ads. Plus optimizing and finding the right audience, like everything just feels harder right now. And when I've based all of my teaching on this simple funnel that you can just set up an ad and then make profit two or three days later, it's harder. And I've had some internal struggling, not struggling, but maybe debating and wondering if this is still of the highest service to teach people this type of funnel when it's not as easy as it was two years ago. So for that reason, as I think about a lot of the reasons why people are drawn to tiny offers, why it feels like such a great new way to do things, oftentimes it comes down to being a matter of our own confidence in launching and our own confidence and visibility and our own willingness to ask someone to pay us high ticket. Like it is so much easier or less scary to hide behind an ad, hide behind a funnel, and casually tap it out into the world and say, hey, there's this little thing that I created and it's like $27 and if you don't want it, it's okay, you can just scroll on by, no big deal. Like it's up to you. You can take it if you want it. At least for me, that was my experience. And why I wanted to start tiny is because I didn't have the confidence to show up and be like, yo, I created this thing and it's like 10k. If you want it, cool, it's here and it's awesome. That's such a different energy than like this little tiny offer that I'm kind of maybe inviting someone to buy. You know what I mean? So it's like the shift that was required for me to confidently step out and start selling group programs and bigger ticket items that were, you know, $5,000, $10,000, even $25,000, that took a huge amount of transformation, personally and professionally to understand what the result could look like for someone or what the deliverables, what the offer would look like at that price point compared to these tiny offers that you can just churn out super quickly. So as teaching this is the ultimate foundational step for businesses, I still 100% believe that every single business should have a tiny offer as a front end funnel on their business. But, but now, for profitability sake, and for personal growth sake and business growth sake, more and more, high ticket is like the next wave of what I believe people need. So if you're walking this journey with me and you've seen how I've grown my business, I didn't hit multiple millions of dollars in revenue from just this tiny offer. I don't have a team of seven from just the tiny offer. You know, it's like as I have grown, as my business has evolved, so have my offers, so have my price points. So I feel like only talking about tiny offers from here on out is a disservice to people because I see how much transformation comes not only for you as a business owner, but for your clients when they're paying higher ticket dollar amounts for for what you're offering. And this example that I gave in the email that I sent out this morning, which if you're interested in getting this in email format, I'm Sending out daily funnel vision emails or I'm breaking some of this stuff down and inspiring you to think a little bit differently or bigger or whatever. This morning's email, I said the example of Planet Fitness as the gym, right? I think they charge like $10 a month to become a member of Planet Fitness. You don't have to use it for $10 a month, right? Like, I literally would spend more in two days on coffee than I would spend on a gym membership. If I were to pay for that, it wouldn't, it would barely even be a blip on my, my bank transactions. It's not painful for me to pay that amount and to not use it. Same with people who are buying your tiny offers and never logging in. The dopamine hit comes from the purchase, but the transformation isn't inherent just because they bought it. Same with gym memberships. Planet Fitness's whole model is based on people not showing up and not using their membership. They cannot hold the amount of people who have memberships all at one time. They can only hold. I think the average Planet Fitness could hold maybe like 300 people at the same time. And the average Planet Fitness has 6,500 members. So think about that. Only one tiny, tiny percentage of their members is actively using their facility. But then we as content creators feel guilty when people aren't using our product. That's a whole other story. We could talk about that later. But when you think about that business model and the psychology of only spending a little amount of money, it's a great way to build your email list. It's a great way to get people in, into, be familiar with you and build that know, like, trust factor. Tiny offers are incredible for so many reasons. But for true transformation, Higher ticket is where it's at. Because if I take that same goal that I have in my brain when I'm like, okay, I'm gonna sign up for Planet Fitness, 10 bucks a month, I'm gonna use it. I'm not truly committed. If I hire a nutritionist and I hire a personal trainer, say I'm spending somewhere around $1,500 a month to work with this coach one on one. And I've got a custom plan. My ability to stay committed to that goal, to actually accomplish the transformation, my likelihood of success is so much higher because the investment is so much higher. So when you really care about the impact you're making in the world and you care about the people that you're serving, Higher ticket is helping them to make a commitment in themselves that they are going to honor. So we, a lot of us, especially if you consider yourself like a quote unquote heart centered entrepreneur, we feel guilty about charging lots of money or big dollar amounts for what we offer. But the psychology behind it is that you are helping your ideal client to commit. If it hurts a little or it's a little scary to invest that with you, they're going to be committed, they're going to get themselves in the right headspace to actually do the work and get it done. So as a service provider or a coach or an expert or a content creator, when you look at your profit and loss statement at the end of the month and you're like, oh, I need more cash flow or I need more profit. The easiest way to make more money is to charge more for your services. And I know that's like a duh alley moment, but a lot of us get stuck in that cycle of like, this is feeling hard or I wish I was making more money. And it's like a whole money mindset thing that we can dig into at a different time. But the easiest way is to design a higher ticket offer. So today start thinking about what that would look like. Like, if you were to do everything for your ideal client. If you were to fly to their house and say you're a nutritionist and you're gonna do all their grocery shopping and you're gonna prep all their meals and you're gonna put it in their fridge and you're going to spoon feed them, like literally put the food in their mouth and make them follow the meal plan. Of course they're going to get results, but that's not realistic. So if you can, if you can take a little, take that down a notch, but still think of that result of like, how would you still get someone to do it? Shorten their learning curve, shorten their time from beginning, starting point to final end. Transformation, change of state. What would those steps look like with your highest level of involvement? And you can do this in any niche. Like if, say you're a parenting coach, you could hire them a babysitter so that they could go out to dinner with their partner. You could pay for their meal as part of their package. They could have a conversation about imagining what their life looks like as a more intentional parent. You can imagine any kind of offer for, for any niche and put a higher price tag on it and people will pay it. There will, there are people out there who value their time so much more than the dollars in their bank account that they're willing to invest more with you to be able to get to that result faster. So start imagining what could that look like for you? What would the deliverables be? How can you get them results faster? And then that is the beginning of what your high ticket offer could be. But then also like lean into that feeling when you imagine yourself pitching that to someone' say you're on a sales call or whatever and you tell them my offer is $10,000 or my offer is $6,000. Like what's the first reaction that you have? Like what's the pullback that you have when you imagine yourself seeing that price? And then that is the next thing to start digging into as to the story you're telling yourself or the narrative you have about charging high ticket. Like why can't you. What is holding you back when you can start digging into that as the next reason that's going to help you uncover some of your own money stories that might be keeping you from willingly charging that amount. And that's also what is possibly keeping you stuck behind, hiding behind your funnels and not wanting to show up and not wanting to truly sell and be really visible and share that amazing transformation that you can help people create in their lives. So hopefully this is helpful. I know this is like a brand new angle and a new topic that we're talking about here in LA Bierk land, if that's the thing. So I'm excited though, like I'm, I'm excited to share the whole holistic vision with you on all things digital marketing and funnels and just growing a really well rounded, long term success based business online using your expertise. So I hope you have a fantastic rest of your day. Thanks for being here with me and I will talk to you later.
