What's up, everybody? Welcome back to another episode of the Decision Maker show. And today I am super excited to bring you my number one secret, all about how to make more money. You guys might have a guess what it is. Anybody? Should I, like, wait for a dramatic pause? No. Okay. So the number one secret to making more money in your life, in your business, is making more efficient decisions. That's as simple as that. So a lot of people that I talk to, I coach thousands of entrepreneurs, and so many of them come to me and they're like, I have this idea, I have a plan, I have something I've been thinking about, but they don't actually commit to taking any action. They think about it, they maybe start something, but they don't finish what they start. So there was a while ago, probably three or four years ago, and I was starting to do marketing for my coaching business. I started. I was trying to sell more spots for my coaching. I was going to run a challenge, and the challenge was called the Courage to Captivate, which is ironic because it ended up being, you know, something bigger in my business than what it started out to be. It's like an overall piece of my messaging now is helping people create captivating brands. But back then, I wanted to help people have confidence to show up on camera. So it was all about visibility. It was all about 30 days of showing up and doing the challenging thing. And I remember talking to a coach that I had at the time, and I was due to schedule the emails to start promoting the challenge, and I was waffling, and I was like, you know, I don't know if it's the right angle. Like, I don't know if people are going to sign up for it. It could be this challenge. It could be five days. Maybe 30 days is too long. And I was spinning so hard in indecision, and I couldn't even decide if I was going to send the emails out to my tiny email list. At the time, I think There were like 400 people on my email list that maybe weren't even qualified to attend the challenge. But that's all beside the point. I remember having this conversation with her, and she looked at me dead in the eyes and she said, are you going to do it or not? Like, decide right now if you're going to run the challenge or are you not going to run the challenge? Because if you're going to run this challenge, you have to send the emails today. And I was like, you know what? I'm going to do it. I'm going to run the challenge. So I scheduled the emails. I got everything set up to start promoting the challenge. And it was a paid challenge. It wasn't a free one. It was like a tiny offer challenge. So it was $37, and I think I had probably 30 people sign up for it. So do the math. For me, it was like, oh, my gosh, this money almost didn't even exist because I was thinking about it and I almost didn't take action on it. I almost didn't take action on it. I almost let it just sit as an idea in my brain that never saw the light of day. But because I did the challenge, I not only sold the challenge, but I ended up selling a few coaching spots on the backside of that challenge. So first of all, how cool is that? Just that distinction between why are you going to do it or not? Like, you got to decide, you got to make a plan and to go do the thing instead of just talking about it. I've done this lots and lots of times in my business where I would kind of half commit to something and I wouldn't go all in and come up with a grand marketing plan, and then I wouldn't actually execute it. I would get maybe like 50% of the way, and then I'd quit. And we all know when you're launching something or when you're selling something, people need that urgency and scarcity. And most of the time, your sales end up coming in at the end of the day, on the final day of having an open cart for the coaching program that you're selling course or whatever it might be. And so many people get through the first couple days of their selling period and they're like, well, this isn't working. I quit. I'm not going to send the last email. I'm not going to keep showing up on social media because this obviously isn't working. But I'm asking people today when you make that decision, when you decide for yourself that you're going to show up, when you're going to sell something, when you're going to shift into that new identity of who you're becoming, when you get out of this, like, limbo land and this, like, I think I need to pivot and I'm not sure what to do. And you have all of these cycling ideas. When you can finally blast past that and commit to doing what it takes. Epiphany comes from action. When you actually take action and go out and do the things, that's when you have the ideas. That's when you even learn what you don't want to do. Maybe you start with an idea and you're not sure if it's totally right, but you start executing on it and you start implementing it. You get a ton of clarity of what you absolutely never want to do again in your business. But without taking some kind of action, you. You never would have even gotten that level of clarity. So my big encouragement for you today is to go take action on something. Decide. I recently read a book by Ed Milet called the Power of One More and Beyond that being a great book and having a lot of takeaways from it, the number one takeaway that I actually had from the book was how many times he said the word decide. Of all the personal development books I've read and all of the business books, that is the number one word that is repeated throughout all of these different books. Just going out and making a decision. And of course, decision is not enough. You have to take action and you have to go out and implement and you have to take the next step and get support. And I think a lot of people, they either don't believe in themselves that the next step is possible, or they don't believe in the results, or they think they're going to waste time going after the. The big goal that they have. That's so something I hear all the time from people, is I don't know if it's going to work. It's not guaranteed success. So I don't know if I want to waste my time on it or what if I waste my time and it doesn't work anyway. You're wasting time by not taking action on anything. You're wasting time by not going after what you actually want, you're wasting time by just letting your ideas live in your brain. So wouldn't you rather go waste your time being efficient in going after your dreams and learning from that instead of just sitting here doing nothing? Right? So, so make that decision. Become a decision maker. Can't tell you how many times in my own life or with my kids and, and they're waffling on something and I tell them, like, go be a decision maker. Go make the decision. And it always helps them take ownership over whatever it is that they're debating on. We always know that gut instinct is always in you. You always have an idea of what would be best. But fear holds you back from that. And thinking you're not enough or thinking you're not worthy of the result holds you back from the thing you really want. And I've seen it so many different times. Even when you're trying to sell a program, if people don't believe in themselves, in being able to get the result that you're promising, that is the number one killer of sales. More than not trusting your sales message or not trusting your program, it's when people don't believe in themselves. So when you can encourage your own people or your own followers, your own ideal clients to become decision makers in their own lives, they that's going to help them trust you and trust the process that they are worthy of getting the result. So I just see like all these ripple effects in this like, you know, hourglass of impact that can be made by helping you make more efficient decisions and you being able to help your ideal audience go out and make better decisions too, or more empowered decisions based on things that they actually want for their own lives. So hopefully this is helpful. I would love if you have any questions about what to do or how you make decisions, if let me know, send me a message, send me a dm.
