I wanted to talk about something that I came across in my Instagram inbox. I got a direct message from a woman this morning who was telling me that she came across a video that I had created a while ago. And to be honest with you, I don't even remember the video, but it was talking about quitting your job and like, your why behind your business, right? And she was saying that she wants to quit her job. She was sending me a message as she was crying in the parking lot of her job because she wants to be home with her kids, which is such a. A common problem whether or not you have kids. If you have a day job and you're miserable at it, there's this, this period of, like, wondering if you're capable of becoming an entrepreneur if you could do this full time. There's a lot of fear in place, a lot of worry about judgment, about, you know, like, just living a life that is not the exact same as everyone else's. And the. What I told her and what I want to tell you guys is that there's this moment of decision, right, where you, you just decide that this is how it's going to be and you don't take anything else for an answer. And that comes from knowing that you're resourceful, that you will always find a way to make things happen, whether it's this job or whether it's being an entrepreneur. Like, you will find a way to make things happen when you just decide. So it's when you're in this moment of indecision, of like, I don't really like what I'm doing. I don't like this business that I'm running. I want to be running a different business. You still stay in this limbo of not deciding, and it takes so much energy to exist in that space of like, I haven't decided yes, but I haven't decided no. So one thing I really want to encourage people to do is just freaking decide already, right? Like when you're sitting there and you're, you put all this energy into, maybe you're sucking the energy out of what it would take to actually make the thing happen. So just decide what does it need to look like? So if you want to quit your job, sit down and figure out, these are all my expenses. This is what it would take to get X amount of clients to be able to replace the income that I'm at right now. When you actually map it out and you see how easy it is, you will be surprised at how quickly you can replace a $50,000 a year income, even six figures a year. When you know what you want to be doing, what you want to charge, then it's just a matter of finding the right people and getting your message out there and just being consistent and visible, of course, and, and really making it happen like that when you decide. And I just saw this with one of my clients in a coaching program that I'm running, she decided that she was going to become an obm, which is an online business manager, and I kid you not, within making that decision, within a week, she already had her first client lined up. But it's when you don't decide and you're trying to juggle too many businesses or too many ideas that you, you stay in this space of not getting results. So then you start doubting yourself and then you start having confidence issues behind what you're doing. And it's like this whole, you know, like negativity spiral. But when that decision happens, all of a sudden your brain starts figuring out the next path to get the next step to take the steps to get the planning done. It's like if you, if you are a little woo woo, quote unquote, it's the law of attraction, right? But what the law of attraction from a scientific perspective. And I could get into this and it could be a whole lot longer live stream. But basically when you decide that there is no other choice. So when you create your vision board or when you journal on something and you say like, I am going to have this business, I am going to have this life, I'm going to get this vehicle, whatever it is that you're dreaming about, your brain says, okay, if this is the only option, I'm going to start thinking just subconsciously about all the different ways that I can make it Happen. So I once had someone explain this to me as like, dinner, right? So if you are thinking, I'm going to have pizza for dinner, okay, you're going to start thinking about different ways to make this happen for yourself. So your brain is just going to be processing in the background saying, like, okay, well, I could go buy flour. I could buy, you know, cheese, marinara sauce. I could make the pizza. That's one option. I could also find a sub place that, you know, makes a pizza sub. Maybe that would be good. Or I could go to a pizza restaurant. I could go to a gourmet pizza restaurant and get like a fancy pizza. You start coming up with all these solutions that would never even have appeared in your brain if you're like, what's for dinner? I don't know what's for dinner? I can't decide. I just don't know. Your brain never has the ability to come up with the exact solution. So there's this whole level of fear sometimes where people get stuck and think like, well, if I make the decision and it doesn't happen, then it doesn't happen. And then I failed. And that's scary. But there's also knowing that what's the worst case scenario? So if you try and you fail, you're just back where you started, right? Like, that's not really a failure. That's just being where you started. So if you try and you succeed and then things are wonderful, it's like, that would never have happened if you didn't try. So two messages for today. Make a choice. If you're stuck in this limbo of, I don't know, ness, just make that choice. Like it's that or it's nothing. Heck yes. Heck no. Just decide. And second of all, lean into that fear and just make it. Make the decision happen. And know that if you do everything possible to move towards that fear and it doesn't happen, at least you're not any worse off than where you started, right? Like, you're just going back to getting a job if your business fails, which is at least easier than sitting there wondering if you could ever make it work in the first place. It's going to be hard no matter what. Running a business is hard. Being employed somewhere that you hate is hard. So there's that quote about, like, it's about weight loss, but it's like not exercising and being unhappy in your skin is hard, but exercise is hard, so choose your hard. It's the same with business of being really unhappy in your current situation is really hard, but running a business is really hard. So just go out and choose your heart. That's my. My soapbox for the day. Hope you guys are doing well. I'm gonna run. I have a group coaching call, so I. I'm gonna go teach some Facebook ads, but I will talk to you all soon. If you've related to this, let me know in the comments. If you want to chat more, I'd love to hear about it. It's such a common struggle for so many of us, and. And I hate to see people just stuck and crying in the parking lot at work. Like, I don't want any more tears in parking lots. Let's all just go chase our dreams, and it'll be awesome. All right, I'll talk to you guys later.
