This is a YouTube video titled "10x Entrepreneur Shares Her #1 Success Tip" featuring Allison Maslan delivering a motivational business talk recorded in January 2015. Allison shares advice on persistence and consistency in business, comparing success to running a marathon rather than a sprint, emphasizing steady effort over time to avoid burnout and achieve long-term success.
Hi, it's Allison Maslin. I'm here to give you another fabulous business tip that you can take and apply to your business right away. Now think about when you go to exercise, and I hope you exercise. It's seriously important. We're always using our minds. We need to get into our body, but sometimes we kind of overdo it, right? Maybe we haven't exercised in a while. And so you go to the gym and you just do everything full bore. Or, you know, you start running, you say, I'm gonna run a marathon and you give everything you have and then, you know, you tear a muscle, parts of you are breaking down and then you're injured, and then you can't exercise for another couple of months. Well, a lot of people, business owners, live their life this way, right? We give it, we go full bore and then we kind of burn out. And so I always tell people, success is, it is a marathon, not a sprint. Okay? So that means every single day, you, you need to be consistent with your practices. You need to be consistent with focusing on revenue producing activities. You need to be consistent on giving incredible value to your clients. You need to do it on a regular basis. Whether it's studying that you need to do or writing for your book. It's about working at it step by step, every single day. Whether you're in a great mood and life is wonderful or you are in a crappy mood, you still have to stay with it. That persistence is what is going to make you successful, not reacting by how you feel or what's going on in the economy. All right? And that's really, for me, almost 30 years in business. It's that persistence and consistence day in and day out that has helped me to create success. You don't have to go absolutely crazy. Just stay with it and don't quit on yourself. Alright? This was fun. So I want to hear about all your successes. Write to me, let me know. Until next time. It's Alison. I'll see you soon.
