Allison Maslan argues that seven-figure CEOs waste their time in day-to-day operations instead of focusing on vision and building a managed team. CEOs should step back from the work and lead the company forward.
What should the CEO of a company not be doing? Well, you should not be working in the business. That means working solely with clients and doing the busy work in the business. Running errands, processing orders, writing proposals, completing projects. That is actually going to keep you small in the business. Yes, you need to do that when you're starting and you're beginning to build the business as a startup, but once you have grown, you're actually choking the growth of the business. If you are still working in the day to day, you need to build a team managed company that can thrive without you. You as a CEO need to be driving that vision every day.
