The content is a solo presentation rather than a multi-speaker conversation.
Did you know that a little bit of gratitude goes a long way? In fact, right here on this segment of Ally. And you'd. Hold on. This is the small stuff. Get focused on what really matters. So I want to just talk a little bit about gratitude and how that can change your life and what are some things that you can do on a daily basis to stay, stay in that place of gratitude? I mean, did you know that you can't be fearful and be in the space of gratitude at the same time? I mean, that's really a powerful thought. So gratitude is not only being thankful, but it's also a tool that can shift you out of fear, it can shift you out of anger, it can shift you out of, you know, anticipation. And it really is, if you think about it, gratitude is that one thing that will pull you out of your head, spinning into bringing you in the moment and the clients that you really want to meet. Who's your ideal audience? And let me think for a bit who I know that is either in that target audience or has connections to those people. And what happens when you're out building relationships and you come from this place of being the go giver, come from this place of generosity, all of the walls come down, people are more open to meeting you, the vibe goes up, the energy goes up, they're more attracted to you, and just naturally they're going to want to give back. You don't do it because you want them to give back. It's not like a tit for tat kind of thing. But when you come from that place of giving, people see that about you. And it is just a natural thing to want to give, right? I mean, think about the givers in your life, people that are the connectors. You just want to give to these people. People that are takers, takers, takers. It's like, you know, you kind of want to run because that's that negative energy that's put out. It's, you know, gratitude really is. It's a selfless act. It's. It's when you're getting out of your own way. A big mentor in my life. His name was Sid Wolf. He passed away a few years ago, and it was because of him that I got into the healing field years ago. And I've been a homeopathic physician for the last over 20 years. I don't run that practice anymore in what I'm doing now. But I remember talking to him one time, and I was going through a really difficult time. I was very depressed. I was going through a divorce. And he said to me that in his times of feeling down, the way that he was able to get out of his own way, to get out of the sadness and the frustration and the angst, was to help somebody else to really just focus on other people in need and how can you serve them? And so going into this holiday season, not only when you're helping other people do you lift them up, but you're also lifting yourself up. And if you keep doing that and you keep focusing on other people, in the not too distant future, you wake up one morning and you go, you know what? I'm feeling pretty good. And so if you want to, one of the best ways to heal is to focus on healing others. And you can heal others with a smile, with a kind word to say. You know, a generous offering doesn't have to be like you're spending a lot of money, but just doing something out of the goodness of your heart. So one of the things that is a really powerful exercise is, is to think about the people in your life that have done some amazing things for you or even little things, but you didn't thank them. Maybe they introduced you to somebody, maybe they taught you something or just impacted you in some way, and you didn't really appropriately thank them. It doesn't matter if it was 10, 20 years ago. Why don't you write them a thank you card, write down, think of all the things that they did for you, and write it in a card and send that to them. You, you know what an amazing impact that is, or even deliver it personally. That's even more powerful. Another way that gratitude and generosity heals in relationships and the people that you're in relationships with, whether it's friends or it's in, you know, with your significant other, right? And you know, I've been married 12 years and I love my husband dearly, but, you know, you got two people coming from different perspectives on things, and sometimes, you know, you can hit an impasse. So one of the most powerful things you can do in relationships is to write down, let's say for a week, what are all the things that you're grateful for for your partner? What are things that they do, the little things that you appreciate? Like, my husband always brings books, the Go Giver, and it's by Bob Berg and John David Mann to those people. And what happens when you're out building relationships and you come from this place of being, the Go giver, come from this place of generosity, all of the walls come down, people are More open to meeting you. The vibe goes up, the energy goes up. They're more attracted to you, and just naturally they're going to want to give back. You don't do it because you want them to give back. It's not like a tit for tat kind of thing. But when you come from that place of giving, people see that about you, and it is just a natural thing to want to give. Right? I mean, think about the givers in your life, people that are the connectors. You just want to give to these people. People that are takers, takers, takers. It's like, you know, you kind of want to run because that negative energy that's put out. Gratitude really is a selfless act. And he said to me that in his times of feeling down, the way that he was able to. Coffee. Oh, my gosh. Like in that moment that could be like worth thousands of dollars if you know what I'm talk about. Just those little things, the things that they say or do that, you know, maybe after a while you're so used to it, you take for granted. But that's really what you love about this person. If you each, each of you, as an exercise, it would be great to do for the holidays, is to write those things down that you appreciate in one another and then share those with each other. And I mean, that can really have a big positive impact on your relationship. Another thing, same thing with your children. I mean, if we can teach our children to focus on gratitude, like, you know, from when they're children to adults, that can impact their whole life. First of all, they've done studies that when you focus on gratitude on a regular basis, that you're actually. Your happiness factor goes up 30%. 30%. That's almost a third of, you know, your mood. And if you're happier, everything changes. You're more successful, you're kinder to other people, your health is better, your stress goes way down. Right? So why wouldn't we want to teach this to our children? So One of the things you can do with them is before they go to sleep at night, is to have them talk about what they're grateful for, because that would be something on a regular basis to get in the habit of doing, right. So I think that's. That's pretty much it. But I just challenge you to as many times as you can during the day, when you have a moment, you're at a stoplight, or you know, when you are, you're just waking up in the morning and you're kind of in that fuzzy space between sleep and awake, or when you're going to bed at night. What I highly recommend that you do is to just take a moment and think of all the things from that day, all the people in your life, all of the opportunities that you have. I mean, just being able to run a business, as crazy as it is, as challenging as it is, it's an incredible gift. And you get to help other people change their lives in whatever way, whether you have a tire business or you're in the beauty business, doesn't matter. You're making an impact, and that is a blessing. So every day, you've heard this saying before, count your blessings and be a giver. Be a go giver and just share those thank yous, your heart, as much as you can. All right? So share this, be generous, and I would love it if you would share this message. Because if we can impact millions of people with gratitude, this is how we change the world one person at a time. So we are here every Wednesday at 4:00 clock Pacific for Ally and you.
