ALLISON MASLAN: Help Others Reach Their Dreams So You Can reach Yours

Allison Maslan talks about her business mastermind events and why supporting others' dreams matters for your own success. She shares stories about giving back and helping her daughter launch a new business, with insights on community and personal growth woven through the conversation.
I'm so excited to be here. I love what you're doing. I'd actually like you to take it away and tell us. Yes. And, you know, first of all, just to back up a little bit. I've always felt a calling to help people. I just really love making a difference in people's lives and through all the business experience that I've had, then begin helping others grow their business. I was throwing a big event, and I wanted to raise money for a charity, and I was looking at some different ones, and I really like to. I think it's important that you align with the mission of who you're giving to. Right. And what I loved about Just Like My Child was the empowerment that this organization was doing for women. You know, when you train a young girl to speak up and to have confidence, it helps their children, it helps the community. I mean, it spans down through generations. But, you know, I was determined to make something of my life and also make a nice life for my daughter, you know, and I wanted to show her that she could go after her dreams and whatever that was and that she deserved to live a happy life. Sounds fun. I love his message here. To have a whole podcast about giving back. I do think that a lot of times people think, oh, I'm gonna give back someday, or I'm gonna wait till I make a lot of money and then I'm gonna give back. But you can make a difference just with your neighbor, right? There are so many causes just right within your community that you can go and spend the day with, or just going to a retirement home and spending time with people, gosh, that just makes such a difference. And if you want to lift your heart, go help somebody else. And that is gonna just blow up those feelings, those good endorphins. So go out there and give back. Not someday. Today. Some people look at this things as work, and I feel like, gosh, I get to spend the day with my work family, and I'm just truly grateful. So here's to Cheers.
Yeah. Cheers.
Cheers.
Awesome day. Dreams that you have. If you feel that you're achieving those dreams, then you're going to be feel more fulfilled right in your life. And we're running a company all about helping people reach their dreams. And it's not just about our clients reaching our dreams. Obviously, that's first and foremost, but it's also about you all reaching your dreams. So I want to know what is important to you.
Just our events that we do, our Pinnacle events and our Blast off events are just so Good. And, you know, I don't like to work on unless they're, like, the best. And I think that we put on some of the best events, and it's just cool.
When I found the job, it was sort of like, this will be a nice little job to have. Totally underestimated. I feel like this is just the.
Perfect spot for me.
And I'm really grateful for.
Am I. I'm learning to play the bass guitar.
Super proud of that.
And you're really good.
Yeah.
I'm trying to get in there. I feel like there's nothing powerful than what an entrepreneur can do to impact their community, to impact the global economy. So I think that for us to be able to hold that level of our vision can really change our world. It's our small part in making that impact. When you have a corporate job, your structure is already built for you, and you walk into it. When you're a business owner, you have to create your own structure. There are no rules. You have to create your own rules. And for someone to switch that mindset, it's like someone being in Western medicine and then going to alternative medicine. Even if you believe in it, it's very hard to switch your mindset around that.
That's a good one.
I think you might be wrong. Patience.
There we go. This is what we teach, but we're not doing. Could you not put that on video?
They'll always forget. People will forget what you say, but they won't forget how you feel. How they feel.
My mom taught me, if you're ever unhappy, put your lipstick on.
I thought you were gonna say go shopping. Put your lipstick on.
Put your lipstick on and move on. I love that. So we are counting down hours until our next Pinnacle Mastermind event here in San Diego. We're super excited. We have over 100 entrepreneurs from all over the country flying into San Diego for collaboration and private coaching and new teaching. And they literally leave the event with a plan, a strategic plan, and a focus for the next 90 days. And then we meet. We mastermind every single week in between, and then we get together again. And that's how a CEO takes their business to the next level. Next level, next level, next level. That's what I do for our business here as well. And we are just going a little crazy here. If any of you have put on an event before, it's totally chaotic before, and then it all comes together beautifully. So I'm just standing here looking over all the handouts and make sure we have everything. We have Jennifer, who is Amazing. My assistant, we call her the multitasking full time ninja because she. Jennifer. Because I'll say, oh, you know, I need to get this. And she's like, it's already done. It's on your desk. Or here it is. Right. Isn't that true?
Absolutely.
100%.
Hey, guys.
Anyway, can we help you? Sorry, I'm black with peak potentials.
You and I was both years ago.
You're standing there and I'm like, does someone know this first?
I'm just gonna completely hang out and just enjoy this space because I love color.
Okay.
And it's like going, ha. I'm just gonna sit here and vibe.
For a little while.
Yeah. Well, we. We call this office our happy place. Best team ever.
What is your event this week?
We, you know, we run a mastermind. That's our main deal. And so we have. We do three live events a year, and one is this weekend, Friday and Saturday.
Where are you doing?
At the Hyatt in La Jolla.
Oh, in La Jolla.
Yeah.
More questions? No, because I've been running since the.
Last time we spoke. So we're good. She's been literally running, hence the sweat.
On her back in my trapeze Alison Mazen trapeze T shirt, which is hilarious. I talked to Jennifer about the best part. I'm right now writing the mail house. So we're all on the same page about getting it printed, getting it out, getting it done. Monday, today in the mailbox, Wednesday.
Okay.
Yeah.
And I've sent out a note. Robert Cassard, a note. We're good.
Cool.
Yeah.
All right, Jared.
So it's our new chime. She didn't even flinch.
The live stream today.
Today after this. That's starting pretty soon.
Okay.
After I do that. And then I'm gonna get all the videos out everywhere after the live stream.
Yeah.
Okay.
So Gabriella, my daughter is starting business now. I'm starting a small. This is text just got from her from New York. I'm starting a small clothing line. Mom, with my friend. And we're going to have things made in Bali or Thailand. So I will be needing help with a business plan. My daughter is asking me for help.
Yay.
Anyway, it's hard to get your children to come to you and ask you for help. You get other people that spend a lot of money. And I'm like, look, I'll do it for you for free. So anyway, very exciting.
