ALLISON MASLAN Q&A: How Do I Get People on My Webinar?

This is a YouTube video titled "ALLISON MASLAN Q&A: How Do I Get People on My Webinar?" created on April 6, 2016. It features Allison Maslan providing a detailed monologue on strategies for promoting webinars through social media, relationship building, and advertising, emphasizing giving value and building long-term client relationships. The content is a solo talk focused on marketing and business coaching advice.
Do in life. You're not going to walk up to someone and say, hey, sign up for my webinar. Right? Nobody likes that. So if you come to social media or online marketing on how can I help you first, it will always come back to you in spades. I mean, this is how I do relationship building in general. I find how can I serve you? And, and then so begin to build that following and you start sharing other people's material and they will also reciprocate. You can also begin to build some good affiliate relationships, be interviewed on other people's show, and they can start letting people know where you're at, how to reach them and so forth so that you're taking your fan base and giving it legs. Now, once you begin to get some buzz on your, your pages, your Twitter feed, your Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, whatever that you're on, then you can start to promote a webinar and things like that. Now to get the buzz going more on Facebook, you can boost posts, you can do Facebook ads, check just to start getting more energy on your page and get more people commenting as well. So then when it comes time to promote your event in whatever platform, webcast, telecast and so forth, you have people there that are already engaged with you. They get what you're about and they're going to take a peek in your event and see if it's of interest. I recommend when you're promoting those things on social media, in most cases, wouldn't charge for them. It's more about them coming onto a training that is free, that they can just see. You know, let me just try this out. Do I resonate with this person? Now, I've had people that have listened to several of our shows, several of our webinars, and then they say, you know what? It's time. I really want to move forward with you, Alison, and your team and get some business coaching. And then I have other people that. The very first one, and it just, the time is right, they're ready to go, right? And so, you know, but open it up so that people can step in and give it a try. And then when you're doing your webinar or whatever, your telecast, then you can give great content, give great value, same philosophy, give, give, give. And then you want to give people an opportunity to work with you further and dive more deeply in your product or service. Okay? And you're really doing them a service because whatever you're teaching on that, on that class, that webinar is only going to get them so far. Right. So if they're serious and they want to take it much deeper and really see some changes in their life or whatever the issue is that they're learning about, then you know they're going to be interested in moving forward with you. So as far as you know where to advertise that, I mean again, you can we post our show, our webinars, you know, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, we'll do a blog about them and then we'll post that blog. We'll often make a video about it as well. You know, I've been on social media really building a community around the work I do since like 2, 2006. And it's just been so fun to have these friends that we've gotten to know over the years that, you know, we've been able to build these long term relationships and many of those people have become clients over the years. So it's just, it's relationship building. Just get out there, give, give, give. And the people are going to be really excited to come. And if they resonate with you to come on your webinar and, and learn more as far as how much to spend, that's going to be really up to you. I mean you could do, you know, $5 a day, $10 a day. I mean there's people that spend thousand dollars a day. It just, it depends on, you know, what your overall goal is, where you are right now in your business. And I would probably stay, you know, a little lower and then slowly build up. But remember, this is money that you're investing in. You. It's, you know, that's really the way you want to look at it, but you want to make sure that the ROI is there. When you're spending this advertising money, sometimes you don't see the ROI right away because again, you're building a relationship and these people may not be ready to do business with you for some time. Or you might think that, oh gosh, I only got five sales on my webinar. But think of it this way, let's take those five people and if each of them referred you two people and then they bought from you again two more times, all of a sudden the ROI of that webinar went way up. So you can't just look at that, you know, one time sale. You got to really look at the bigger picture. So again, to sum it up, when you are just the overall philosophy on promoting online or anywhere really, how can you come to the place of being a giver so that you can help people and give advice, share your years of wisdom. And then you know what, when they need that or they're looking for that information, you are the person that they're going to turn to get. Then give people an opportunity to take it a little deeper with something that they're going to be learning or attending from you to learn more. And then, you know, then you can give them an offer to work with you further. All right, so there you have it. Get out there, build that community. I can't wait to see you and connect with you online. And you can connect with us@alisonmaslin.com and subscribe to our YouTube channel. Connect with us on Facebook. You can also watch the show on itunes. This has been a blast. Until next time, get out there, elevate yourself. You deserve it. Bye everybody. Right, and so, you know, but open it up so that people can step in and give it a try. And then when you're doing your webinar or whatever, your telecast, then you can give great content, give great value, same philosophy, give, give, give.
