Allison Maslan scaled ten companies to $1 million each and shares what she learned about business growth and leadership. She talks about perseverance, the role of relationships in business, and creating space for creativity and retreats.
So thank you, thank you, thank you. I am really excited to be here today. Now, one of the biggest reasons that we get into business is for the relationships, the people. And when you drill it down, that's really what business is all about. Yes, we want to grow our business, we want to make big profits, we want to make an impact in the world. It doesn't matter where you are in your business development. We all want to take our business to the next level. Right. Whether you have a billion dollar business, it's all about that growth. And when it comes down to it, business is marketing and business is relationships. Right? So if you really think about what you do, it's all about building that rapport and making those connections. And you don't want just a one time sale. You want a client that's going to last for years and years and years. I have clients that have been with me over 20 years and I feel like I'm part of their family and I value that so much. So the person that keeps following up is the one that's going to get the client. Because if you don't, somebody else will. Every one of you are helping people have a better life to make life easier. But you're not a helper. You're not a helper. You're a leader. You are a leader. You are a visionary, lighting the way for people to have a better life. So step into that role of leader. Own that role. Because when you do, you will begin to attract the people to you that get you, that value you and that want to get behind the vision of what you're putting out into the world. Well, nice to meet you. Yeah, very nice to meet you. Okay, great. Thank you. Hi. Yeah, thank you for that. I'm really excited to hear that there was such a difference that was made for you. Well, good for you. Thank you for making such a difference. And you're such an inspiration. Oh, thank you. That's really beautiful. I'm really happy. That's the whole reason I do this stuff. Yeah. Well, you're good. All right. We're good. Thank you. All right. You're welcome. So my husband and I have been working, getting our dream house. We wanted to have a sanctuary. Sanctuary, really? That we could have retreats that I could put my trapeze on. Yes, I know, that's nutty. Anyway, today is our move in day. Something that we've been, you know, dreaming about for years, as I said. And so in pure form. My husband's with the movers and I'm giving a speech. So now we're going to do a quick change and head over to the new house. I can't wait to. Just got a text from him and he said, he said, we're in. We're in. See you there. All right. Did my speech. Let's go. Move. Oh, my God. Our first day. So finally getting here. You know when you have a big dream and you're working towards it and we're working towards it, it feels like, you know, you know it's going to happen, but it just feel far away. And my husband and I have been envisioning and manifesting a place that would be like a sanctuary for us because I do a lot of writing and I need to be in a place where it's really peaceful and I can think and I can get creative and I also lead events and retreats and I wanted a place that was going to feel very spiritual, around the trees and around nature, so that people could feel like they could breathe and that they could just really let everything go. When you're here, you just feel so peaceful. And of course, I want to put a trapeze on the property. So that's the goal. So anyway, today's the day and after all this time, this is our gift. And man, I've earned it. You know, I don't know, hundreds and hundreds of 20 hour days, but work and my passion, making a difference and then really feeling rewarded for that. And that's, to me, what it's all about. If I'd had it just handed to me, it wouldn't mean. Just wouldn't mean near what it means to have earned it. And so for those of you that have a big dream, what, whatever that is for you is just don't quit. You're just right there. So just keep putting your head towards that dream and walking towards it every single day.
