ALLISON MASLAN: Using the Trapeze to Scale Your Business

Allison Maslan uses flying trapeze as a metaphor for scaling your business, working with clients Julianne Stiddick and Richie Gaiona to confront fear and take calculated risks. The session shows how letting go on the trapeze mirrors the leap required to grow a company.
Sa Sam. So today we, I took a group of my incredible clients, these super savvy, powerhouse business women right here, Julianne Stiddick and the group over here. And they came to my home and we masterminded and worked through business challenges. And one of the things that holds people back from getting that next level in business is fear. It's right in front of us. It's like, ah, that thing that keeps us from really going after what we want in our lives. So I took them on. My favorite place here in my backyard is a flying trapeze. And that's been my passion for almost 20 years. And so they got to come today and fly. And they did so great. They actually got up there, put their knees, swung and did a catch just like in the circus. And and then we also have Richie Gaiona, who. Hey, Richie. Wave. So Richie has been my coach for years and he comes from a five generation circus family. In fact, you got to watch the documentary Flight Fantastic. Super inspiring about his family and the trapeze. But anyway, Julianne, what was it like for you? Well, it was I'm afraid of heights or I was afraid of heights. Yeah. Is it gone now? Well, that is good. I mean, you know, and next is going to be jumping out of a plane. But I think to talk with you about fear, I think that what we're always waiting to do is we're always waiting to have everything be perfect all the time before we do it. And we have to take risk. We have to actually embrace failure so that we can have those successes if we're not afraid. Were not reaching far enough and stop thinking about it and just do it. So when I was standing. Yeah, because it gets in your way, right? It does. Like, all the reasons. Oh, my gosh, I'm not gonna be able to do this. I'm not gonna be able to do that. And if you just like shut that all down and just go and do take the action, whatever you do is gonna end up being a success. Right. And you know, each time you did it, because you got to go up several times. Each time you did it, you worked out like your takeoff got better and then you got up easier and. And then you did the catch. Right. So you work towards it. Right. You did so good. Thank you. Thank you. That's great. Now I just need a shower. Okay. Yeah, she does. Really? Yeah.
