Let Go of Scarcity, Open Yourself to Abundance!

Allison Maslan talks about shifting from scarcity thinking to abundance. She covers gratitude, pricing your work confidently, and overcoming fear through mindset changes that help entrepreneurs grow.
You're not different from anybody else that has those things. And this is not about comparing. Please do not compare to anybody else, because all you're doing is putting yourself down. That's not what this is about. This is about you stepping into the highest version of yourself. Let's make that shift. I want you to think about, what are all the things that you're grateful for? Just think about for a minute. What are the things you're grateful for? Because when we can get into a place of thankfulness, of gratitude, it's the fastest emotion that can shift our energy. If you have a hard time getting into that good feeling space and focusing on abundance, just shift to a place of gratitude first. The best place to start. There's so many things to feel grateful for. You're an entrepreneur. You all. Seriously, you are creating your own destiny, okay? And so it's so important. It's so important. Now you freed yourself of all this stuff you want to let go of. Now you got to decide what are you giving your attention to. So instead of being. Instead of living in this place of reactivity, it's being proactive, making choices of where you want to go. Instead of feeling like you're always whipped around by the crises that are happening in your life, you begin to take the bold actions, the scary actions. Because on the other side of fear is where the magic happens. I can't tell you, I have scared myself so many times in my life. You gotta do it anyway. I love this quote by Joyce Meyers. Do it afraid. Do it afraid. Because you know what? What if it's not about you? What if it's not about you? That thing you've been talking about forever, but you haven't done it? What if by you not doing it, there's all these other people that are missing out? We talked about this. Shift your focus to others. How can I make other people's lives better? I mean, gosh, you all have an opportunity to do that just by walking by someone and looking at them and smiling. We've become such a world where you walk by people and you're like this. You're not even looking at them. Look at people in the eye. Smile. You can make somebody's day. You're standing next to them in the grocery line, start up a conversation. This idea of competition, I never like that. Yeah, I have other people in my space. I like to see what they're doing. I want to differentiate myself, but I want them to be successful, too. There's enough abundance for everybody. We call this Coopetition. And we have this a lot in Pinnacle. We have so many diverse companies, but we have, you know, we have several immigration attorneys, people in the bridal space. Like, it's like we can all grow together. I'm really good friends with people in my space that do what we do, but we do it better. But anyway, you know, just saying, but we help each other. We help each other, we support one another. You know, I have so many of my colleagues that have been texting me, wishing us an amazing event, right? And that just feels so good. So good, right? And God, it just feels better internally that we can all work together and share our best practices. You know, we just, when we hold things to ourselves, we really are coming from a place of survival and nothing thrives from there. Nothing. How many of you feel like you may be undercharging your offering? Raise your hand. When's the last time you raised your prices? No, because it's a good question. We often kind of align our what we charge with our own self worth. Will people want to pay this and will I lose people if we raise our price? You charge what people will pay for, Right? And so are you charging based on, especially for those of you that have a service business, for instance, are you charging based on the results that they're receiving? Right. And gosh, we've worked with so many product companies over the years. I remember a woman that we worked with that has an avocado oil company. They brought avocado presses from Italy. They had avocado trees in Escondido, just all over. And we helped them create all these other lines of products. Avocado shampoo, avocado skin care. And when she, her just her profit margin wasn't very high. It was an expensive product to make. And I told her, I said, you need to double your price. She's like, alison, no distributor will take me. They're telling me at the store I am at the top of the market. I said, I'm telling you, if you have a premium product, you have a premium product. I said, people will want it more if the price is higher. And really like they were struggling so much because there just wasn't enough profit margin for them to sustain. So then people wouldn't even have the product. So once she doubled her price, they could not keep it on the shelf. They could not keep it on the shelf. You may lose a few clients when you raise your price, but overall you're actually going to grow more. You know, just do the math. But most people will stay and if they leave, they will often come back because they realize that they had something really, really good. And, you know, I have services that I've been paying for for years. I have a trapeze coach that I've had for over 20 years. I have my fitness coach that I've had for 25 years. I have my mattress manicurist that I've been going to Sarah for 20 plus years. Like, I love these people in my life that I know that are there for me, and I don't have to worry that they're not there for me. I don't want to think about that. And I want those people to make good money. I want them to do well. And so when they raise their price, in fact, I've been trying to get Sarah to raise her price more forever. She'll raise it like a dollar. I. I'm like, sarah, are you kidding me? Right? And so seriously, you all just look at that. And if, you know, prices have gone up for your supplies, is that correct? Right? And so you have to keep pace of that as well. You have to keep pace of that. Don't hold back because you're afraid. So what are you focused on? Are you focused on scarcity or are you focused on abundance? Because if you want more abundance in your life, you got to focus on abundance, even if it's not there yet, because it's coming. And what I know is if you keep hitting that wall, it's because there's a part of you that doesn't believe you can have it. And so you're holding yourself back from that. You've got to become that person that expects it. Why not you? You're not different from anybody else that has those things. And this is not about comparing. Please do not compare to anybody else, because all you're doing is putting yourself down. That's not what this is about. This is about you stepping into the highest version of yourself. And it's a good thing to feel abundant. We're here in this world to feel good, to feel happy, to make other people happy. That's what life's about.
