Foreign Hi, it's Alison Maslin. My friends call me Ally. And you are at Ali and you, the Business Success and Lifestyle show. I'm excited to connect with you today because I want to talk to you a little bit about the mindset that it takes to run a successful business. And you might be thinking, well, Allie, I tuned into your show because I wanted to learn some business strategies. Well, you're going to learn all, all kinds of business strategies on Ally and you'd and you know, incredible stories and wisdom from the guests that we have on the show. However, if you don't have the mindset behind all of the strategies that you learn in business, in most cases you will not implement them. That's why I say success is 90% mindset, maybe even 95% mindset, because you have to have the right thinking behind the actions that you take to ensure that they're going to be successful. So I want to share with you just a few of, I'd say the most important mindset qualities that it takes to run a successful business. Now, I've been in business for a long time, since I was 19 and many decades, truth be told. And I have been knocked down many times and I've learned a lot from the process. And what this show is all about is so that I can share with you the wisdom so that you have an easier road. So a few of those thoughts. The first is, success is not about how fast you go, it's about how deeply you dive. Think about that for a second. Success is not how fast you go, it's how deeply you dive. We get into business and we want success like that. We want it fast. And oftentimes you see people, they're doing so well, they clearly made a success. But you don't know the backstory. It's like the 20 year overnight success story. And I know that in my businesses I'm like that. I run, run, run. I want to make things happen quickly. But one of the things I've learned over the years is that it's really a marathon, not a sprint. And every single thing you do in building your business builds upon itself. And that's how you just get better and better and better. One downfall of entrepreneurs, we're creative types and we have that shiny object syndrome where after this idea and this idea and we're so excited about it and then the next day we've forgotten and we're on to something else. Right? So that's the deep dive thing that I'm talking about here because you have to follow it through. And it doesn't mean that you can't do all those other things that you want. You just can't do them all right now at the same time. And I've had 10 different companies, so trust me, I can be schizo like that. But the most success I've had is when I focus on one thing, you know, one business that is, you know, clear on my niche and dive deeply. And I work with business owners to help them grow their business. I'm really good at that and I've built a team to help support that in our mastermind, it's called the pinnacle. There are so many other things that I get excited about, but because I have really focused, the business has grown and it's been tremendously supportive and successful for our clients. So what is that one thing that you are so good at that you can dive deeply and really focus on? I mean, we think of Google, you know, they are the number one search engine, Twitter, they focus on 140 characters. What is that? That one thing that you can really dive deep with. That's where you're going to get some big success. Another very important mindset quality that takes a lot of practice. But you have to start getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, right? So we're always trying to find this safe place to rest and that's that comfort zone which really holds us back because the growth comes in the uncomfortable part. But if you get used to the uncomfortable part, then it doesn't feel so uncomfortable anymore. Does that make sense at all? Because I've been in business so long, I know what it's like when you have months where there's no business coming in. It's not like when you have a paycheck and you know, consistently that's coming. And in the early years that would, that would put me in a bit of a panic, I would say. But gosh, you know, businesses is ups and downs. I don't care if you're in the five figures or you're in the multi millions, you're going to have some ups and downs in your business, right? And so you just develop a thicker skin and you let things roll off your back and you just have to have faith that it's all going to come together. So you just got to hang on for the wild ride, right? If you're wanting smooth sailing, I don't recommend being a business owner. The other thing that really I think separates the very successful people, and this isn't just in business, this is in life from those that really struggle. It's how fast do you get up once you get knocked down? What is the time between the time you get knocked down to the time that you get up and going again? If you lose your biggest client, if a sale doesn't go through, if your product doesn't work out and you just fall apart and it takes you weeks to pull it together, to get over the upset, to build your confidence again, that's going to be tough because you're going to get a lot of doors slammed in your face. You're going to have people leave that you didn't know they were going to leave. There's so many things that can happen in business. A big campaign that you've invested a lot in, and it didn't work out. And it's very easy to let those things derail you. But successful people, you know, it stings. I'm not going to lie. You know, it's not like I don't have my momentary pity party, but I get up, dust myself off, and say, okay, what am I going to do about it? How am I going to take this problem and find a solution? And the interesting thing is that I often have the best. Aha. The biggest growth after I've been knocked down. Because you start looking at your business through a different lens, and you just find new ways to create that success. Which leads me to this last thought, is that you have to love the ups and you have to embrace the downs. Okay? We all love the ups, right? That's why we're working so hard, because we want to get that adrenaline rush of that sense of achievement that we've worked so hard, and we want to see the payoff at the end. Nobody loves the downs, but we have to embrace the downs because the wisdom is in the fall, right? The wisdom is in the mess up. The wisdom is in the pain. Because that pain makes you stop and take a cold, hard look at what you're doing and really forces you to ask those powerful questions. You know, is this the right direction that I'm going? And if it's not, where should I go next? So love the ups, embrace the downs. That's where the wisdom is. When we're all up, we're not really learning anything because we're not having to go inward. So the more that you can embrace the downs, the higher you're gonna fly in the ups. All right, so that's just a little bit of mindset wisdom for you today. I hope that that helped you with, will help you move through the rest of this day the rest of this week. And so you can fly high in your business. Thank you for joining me on Allie and you'd. And remember to step into your greatness every single day. You deserve it. Until next time. Bye, everybody. It.
