This is a YouTube video titled "The BIGGEST Mistake Business Owners Make When Looking for Clients" created in May 2012 featuring Allison Maslan sharing business advice. In this solo presentation, Allison discusses the importance of nurturing existing clients as a key revenue source, emphasizing client appreciation and personalized engagement to grow business success.
Hi, it's Alyson Maslin, and I'm here to share some business tips with you. Today, I want to talk about sales. Now, as an entrepreneur, every day that's on your mind of growing your business, right? Getting new clients, of course, that makes sense. And you need to be spending a good part of your day marketing your business. Now, one thing that is that a lot of times we're so focused in bringing new clients that were not paying attention to the revenue resource that is right there that you're already working with. It's called your existing clients or your past clients. Now, these people have already been working with you. They trust you. They know you have integrity. They know that you care about them, and they know that you're going to give them results, right? Because it's been tested and true. They've already worked with you. So yes, it is important to go out and build your clients, but also really look at the client base that you already have and work on taking amazing care of them. There's probably some money sitting right on the table that you can access because they may want to work with you more and in other ways, possibly, possibly with new revenue streams or new products that you have introduced that they aren't really familiar with. You want to take care of your clients basics, not just customer service. You want them to know how much you appreciate them. You wouldn't be where you are without your amazing clients, and they need to know that. So think about who are your raving fans who have been with you through thick and thin. When's the last time you've talked to these people? When is the last time that you've reached out to them and said, hey, I so appreciate you? Or find out what their hobby is. If they're into golf, send them a gift certificate to play golf or a new putter. If your client loves to work out, get them some workout gear, go the extra mile. I promise you the next time they're thinking of doing business, they are going to think about you. So that's my tip for the day. Take care of your amazing clients so that you can take your business to the next level. I'll see you soon.
