Allison Maslan discusses why founders who work with their partner need to separate work and personal time. Put phones away during meals, designate downtime, and stop the 6 am to 10 pm grind. Protecting your mental space keeps both your relationship and productivity alive.
As you know, my brain never stop runneth over.
It never stop runneth over. It does when we can get to a place on vacation or whatever.
But I think it's really balancing that, right? Is if you are working together, for instance, with your significant other and balancing relationship and business.
Yeah, and it's having some boundaries too, I think, about when we're gone out to dinner, let's cell phones down. I know when I go down to the restroom or something, you're picking it up and doing it, but I mean, seriously, it's— you have to have that balance. It can't be 6:00 in the morning until 10:00 at night. I think I'm good in that way for you, of creating that space of just some downtime, and I think your brain so needs it.
