This is a YouTube video titled "This Harsh Truth Scaled My Business — Fast" featuring Allison Maslan speaking about the importance of building a team that can make decisions independently to scale a business. Recorded in June 2025, Allison shares personal insights from Paris, emphasizing the need for strategic team members to gain freedom and avoid being overwhelmed by daily operations.

If your team cannot make decisions without you, you don't have a business. You have a job. I'm in Paris right now with my husband, and I wanted to send this to you because I know how hard you're working in your company. And believe me, I've been there. I've been building companies for many, many years. But I am really pretty sure that you didn't start your company so that you would be on that hamster. Whee. Non stop. Part of the reason you built your business is so that you could have the freedom to travel and to explore the world and spend time with the people that you love. So you need people on your team that can think strategically. So you don't need to be in on all the meetings. You don't have to be in all of the hires. It can't be all about you. If you truly want to scale.
