Using The Trapeze to Grow Your Business (ALLISON MASLAN)

Allison Maslan uses the flying trapeze as a metaphor for overcoming fear and taking bold action in business. She shares her entrepreneurial coaching philosophy through the "Blast off" program, with speakers discussing how persistence and fear management drive growth.
I've been an entrepreneur for many years. I've built eight successful businesses of my own in many different industries, including being a homeopathic physician for 14 years. And in this business, I've come to understand where people get stuck and. And what holds them back from achieving their dreams. So I became a life and business coach to help people move past these roadblocks, and I give them the strategies and the direction so that they can reach their goals easily. I'm bringing my entrepreneurial clients to the flying trapeze because the trapeze is such a metaphor for life and for business. You have to climb up the ladder and face your fear, just like in business. And once you're on the pedestal, you've got to be really focused on your goal and decide, is this really what I want? You've got to take it seriously, and then you've got to jump. You've got to jump in with both feet, not taking it slowly, but you've got to really put yourself out there, and then you've got to let go. You've got to trust in the process.
3, 2, 1.
Blast off.
There's a lot of motivational and inspirational books out there, but then you're left when you finish the book, not knowing how to incorporate them into your own life. And my book, Blast off, is different because it helps you tap into your soul's purpose, get a clear vision of your passion so you know where you're headed, and then it helps you break it down into simple daily action steps I call mini feats. So it makes reaching your goals in any aspect of your life so easy.
When you're starting your business up, there's a lot of things that you need to complete before you get the ball rolling. It takes a lot of determination. You got to get through your mind that you're going to finish what you started.
Allison's program, Blastoff, has helped me hugely in that before I started the program, I was feeling really stuck and overwhelmed with everything.
Up. Hands up. Now. Reach up. Look up. Look up. Reach up. Let go.
I went from being, like, the most fearful I could ever have felt to, like, I can do this. Like, just really empowering and really, like, anything's possible.
Alison and her Blast off program was actually the beginning of my really stepping in, really stepping into this part of myself, this the leader and teacher, mentor and guide of me. It's exactly where I'm at right now in my business. It's like I jumped off the ledge. I got it started, and now I have to figure out the next thing, and I have to push through the next wall of fear to get the next thing accomplished. And it will probably be like that endlessly.
Alison has been instrumental in really helping me with getting off the ground with various just positive incentives and leads and meetings and all the just the positive things that go into putting a business together.
Even when things, you know, seem frightening or beyond reach, that they're still possible. And you just have to keep trying. I mean, I was up there many, many times, and it's just going back up there over and over again, and just. It's all about being persistent.
You see what you were able to do today, you were able to climb up that ladder and you were able to jump off that pedestal and totally trust. And you were terrified. But you pushed through the fear and you did it anyway, and it was absolutely amazing. You see what you're able to accomplish, the possibilities are out there, and you're never going to know until you jump. You did it. So proud of you. When I am telling my clients the fear is in your head, it's because it's the thoughts that we put on the situation that seem scary. In reality, if you push through the door, there's another opportunity. Another opportunity. If the door closes on you, you go around and find another door. So the only thing that's going to be your roadblock is yourself. So if you can move past that fear, the thoughts that you're creating in your head, the world is yours. You can create anything you want.
