Why Joining Pinnacle Global Network Changed My Business (and Life)

Rebecca McCarthy shares how Allison Maslan's Pinnacle program helped her rebuild after divorce and her son's autism diagnosis. She credits the network with transforming her business and finding her leadership voice.
My name is Rebecca McCarthy, and I'm the mother of these two little guys. And I also run a company called the Written Coach, where I work with people who want to write a book, the book of their dreams. So I didn't decide to just start a business out of nowhere. I was a freelance writer. I was married, I had two children, and I was happy. I had a nice work life, balance. But then suddenly, two years ago, my husband asked for a divorce. And I remember the door slamming. And I was standing there looking at the door, holding my baby. He was nine months old at the time. He was nursing. And I looked down, and all I could think was, thank God breast milk is free, because I have no idea how I'm going to pay for anything anymore. I'm the youngest of three, and my whole life I've been taking care of. So my parents took care of me. Obviously, I was the baby when they were gone. My sister and brother took care of me. I grew up and I got a job at a company, and the company took care of me, and I got married and my husband took care of me. So really, all I was thinking was, okay, who's going to take care of me next? That's the lens I was looking through for my life. Ah, like an alligator. Ah, brush your teeth. But then all of a sudden, my son, who was two and a half at the time, my older one, he started to show some symptoms. Some behavioral issues, some developmental issues came up, and they were serious. I think that's very messy. So I kind of had to drop everything and stop thinking about myself and focus on him and figure out what was going on. And a few months later, he was diagnosed with autism. So that started a whole regimen in my house of therapies and treatments. And it was a search for new treatments that actually led me to Alison Maslin. And that's when everything changed. And so that's when people say, you know, well, my circumstances, I can't do it. I say, you know, yes, you can. She started out as a single mom with no money, just like me. I started to get to know her, to trust her, and become very fond of her. I asked, you know, do you mentor only business owners, or can you help someone like me? I don't have a business, but I need. I need one. I need money. I don't know what to do. And that's when she told me about her program called the Pinnacle. Her approach is follow your passion, be open to let it all come up, embrace it, and then share it with the world. Bring your value to the marketplace, and people will want it. And it works because I'm doing very well. Now. If you have action happening on your book, make sure the action. I went from being this abandoned baby to being a leader because of Alison, who's supported me and been my cheerleader, and the other pins who have said, hey, you know, Rebecca, you have leadership. Step into your power. I have. And now I see stories blossom every day. I have clients who are, you know, halfway through the publishing process. It's amazing. A friend of mine used to say, a healthy relationship is one that generates more energy than it consumes. In fact, one of the best, most energizing conversations I ever had was with one of the pins, Alisa DiLorenzo. And we said, isn't it weird how there are so many things in life that are. Because we decide they are? But you know, what? What if we decide something better? You know, what if we just get together and we decide something better? Imagine the possibilities. And that is the kind of conversation or the kind of insight that comes out of Alison Maslin's program, the pinnacle that gets me out of bed every single day. Sa.
