Hi, friends. Amanda and Bec here with no Bullshit business tips. And we wanted to talk to you today about a huge mistake that we see a lot of students, studio owners make with their marketing. And we know you can fix it.
Absolutely. So one of the mistakes we see from studio owners is talking about themselves all the time in their marketing and what they're putting out and what we mean by that is advertising themselves as we are the best studio in our area. I have learned from this person. This was my professional career. I have an RAD certificate, whatever that is. But talking about me, me, me, me, me kind of things.
Yep, exactly. And like, I always relate this. I know I always talk about my kids, but I always relate this to, like, you know, I didn't take Phoenix to the swim school because the owner of the swim school was an Olympic swimmer and won all these trophies and blah, blah, blah, blah. I took Phoenix to that swim school because they seemed fun and friendly. They had good reviews, and it's the closest one to my house. Literally the reason.
Yeah, absolutely. So what we'd love to do and encourage you to do today is, is flip your narrative. Instead of talking about me, me, me, me, me. And these are all the things I have done. It's about your clients and what you can do for them. What could this kind of look like?
Well, like, just I think about it, like, how do we address their pain points?
Absolutely.
You know, so it's like, do you want your child to create confidence? Are you looking for a fun activity for your child, like, putting that question to them? Because they are. That's what they're doing. Right. And if you think about that and questioning that, it's a much. Because they see their child within it and they see that you're going to answer the problems that they may have.
So really think about what you're doing for them rather than what you do. Exactly, exactly. So really thinking about that. So some of the wording that we really like is, you know, we create confident kids, which is Beck's thing. So are you looking for your child to grow in confidence rather than, hey, where were the best dance studio in Penrith? You should come to us. Because I won this award when I.
Was 10 yeah, exactly. And like, is your child needing an all inclusive environment? You know, is your child struggling to make friends? We have such a family focused friendship environment. Like all of the things that you guys do in your studio. I know you do all of those things. Telling people about it and asking that question and then making sure that you have a photo that looks like their child. That's so important too, right?
Absolutely. People want to see themselves reflected.
Exactly. And, you know, showing them that child is the perfect way to do that. And then the issues that that child might be having.
Absolutely. So if you haven't already done this, think about flipping your language, flipping your language to what problems you can solve and talking about, you know, the things that you can bring to the table for that potential new client. Make a post today, talk about what you can do and maybe ask the question, are you looking for this for your child? Well, then where the perfect place for you to go?
Yeah, I think that's the key. Like, it's about them. It's about them wanting to see themselves in your advertising and it's about you making it about the client rather than you making it about yourself or all the amazing things your studio's done.
Yes, absolutely. And whilst that's true, that's not what they want to hear. Right. So take action on it today. Flip that language a little bit and let us know if you feel like that works for you a little bit better. I actually find it easier talking about my kids, the clients, the things that we can do, rather than talking about myself all the time. So hopefully that means that you're selling more often as well.
Guys. Sure. You take action on this. It's a total game changer.
