Blissful day to you. I hope today you just find the highest level of joy and happiness by being fully engaged and present in the moment throughout your day. I am Ambreen Hamid. I am a coach who works with families, and I have begun this series where every single day I share something that I've gone through, especially in the morning hours, for my own self and for my kids. Today actually was a pretty tough morning because I woke up super late. So late that it was already past my. My eldest is, you know, rice time. And I kept, like, telling myself and correcting my thoughts to be like, hey, fix your energy. You don't want to show up. Like you're trying to push them to be fast. You don't want to just come off, you know, mean because. Because you're in your head. And there was a moment in time when my son, you know, woke up my eldest, and he's like, I'm just tired, Mom. I don't know what it is that. Did you sleep well last night? He goes, yeah, I did. And he was still nervous, so he was super slow. And it was breakfast time. So he was eating breakfast, but then he wasn't really eating. He paused and we then all just kind of sat down to meditate for a little bit, kind of work on this practice of meditating for about five minutes before going to school. And we had done the meditation and he was still, like, in this funk. Just like, he just couldn't get out of it. So he said, you know, like, mom, can you drop me off to school? And I was like, yeah, I can, but you're, you know, close enough. You can catch the bus and you. And then he went into it, kind of just. He went. It kind of went and spiraled. And he's like, oh, my God, I feel so mad, so dying. Like, the nagging and the complaining started and I saw myself not being impacted by it. I literally put my hand on. On him and I said, hey, bud, what's going on? And, like, his whole demeanor changed just in that moment. He wasn't complaining, it wasn't nagging. He looked at me kind of shocked, like, that's the reaction you're going to give me. And it was very intentional. He said, all right, what do you need? He said, I just want to go to sleep. Said, okay, can you drop me off? Mom, I know I asked you to drop me off yesterday, but could you drop me off today? I'm just really tired. And it's literally like a 15 minute difference between leaving for the bus versus me. Dropping him off and said, okay, fine. Even though I knew that I was already late and I hadn't finished my morning routine, I hadn't done the things that was needed for me to succeed, I thought, let me go ahead and serve him. Because in serving others, we actually get so much more joy and something happens for our own selves. We start to feel a little bit better. So I'm hoping today is a day where you intentionally take a pause and a beat before reacting to bring out the best in yourself and also the best in others. With that said, X Mom signing out. Take good care.
