In this coaching video, Coach Ambereen addresses couples, especially those who feel emotionally, mental, and physical exhaustion, and explains how setting boundaries is an act of self‑preservation that can protect and deepen a marital relationship. She walks viewers through a compassionate conversation scenario where a husband asks his wife if she’s happy, using empathy and curiosity to open a dialogue about shared energy drain. Ambereen then emphasizes the importance of intentional boundaries for both partners, introducing a practical "top‑5 daily priorities" framework for self‑care. She lists concrete daily rituals—quiet coffee, journaling, nature walks, meditation, or short enjoyable media—as boundary‑building habits that replenish personal energy and improve one’s roles as a spouse, parent, or coworker. The video encourages viewers to commit publicly to being a priority, to engage in tough conversations, and to take a short quiz in the description for a personalized roadmap on protecting emotional, physical, and relational energy. The overall message is that boundaries are not selfish; they are essential for sustaining love, care, and mutual support in a marriage.

Sometimes we're mentally, emotionally, and physically drained, yet feel like we have no choice but to keep going. Have you ever been in a place where you are exhausted, but it seems like there's no choice but to keep pushing forth? Today we're going to unpack how boundaries can actually support you to protect your relationship, really guard that energy, and bring more harmony into your home. Your wife comes in and complains about how she is so emotionally drained from taking care of the house and even work. You look at her and you recognize and you can feel her energy drain. You wanna be an understanding human being. And a great husband, yet you feel like this is a life that she signed up for. Like she chose to be this person. She chose to be the mother to the kids. She chose to be a homemaker, and she chose to really prioritize this relationship. Today, you decide to show up with love and care. While hugging your wife to really just refuel her, you ask, hey, can I ask you something? When you get that yes, which most likely you will, ask her, "Are you happy?" while hugging her. You'll probably see her push you back a little bit just to see your face and see what's really going on. As she's pushing you back to get a look at your face, she asks and says, "What makes you think I'm not? What makes you think I'm not happy?" This is that moment that you lean in with curiosity and love and care and compassion and empathy, and you just let her know, Can I share something? The fact that I feel like you're complaining a lot, and this is the life that we have tried to build for the last 5 years, it was literally once a dream for us to be living like this. What can we do to support each other a little bit more so we're not feeling so energetically drained? Now, this is where I want things to really be intentional. As you start conversing, remember to lean into empathy, wrap that up with a bowl of care, and just start to really see and ponder to figure out What are some of those boundaries that you guys can actually create to shift the way your marriage has been so that way the both of you feel supported? You're not feeling drained, not emotionally, not mentally, not physically. And this way you also have that love and care for one another. Now, if you are somebody who is actually thinking and that you're gonna have those tough conversations, comment down below. Let me know. Let us know. I'm ready for those tough conversations. Just talked about intentional action and care. Can Alexity support your marriage and your relationship? Let's shift the lens a little bit and point it back to yourself. Are you somebody who just loves to do things for other people, make life super simple for others, yet when it comes to yourself, somehow you find excuses and you realize that it's not a must? Welcome to being a giver. It is so tough for givers to take and even to receive. However, if you're not gonna prioritize yourself, nothing in your life will change. You'll keep depleting the energy. You'll just have all of your desires kind of sit in the background and everybody will come before you. This is something that's actually tremendously helped so many of my clients. I tell them, hey, You don't have to be the number one priority every single day, but you've gotta make your top 5 every single day. What am I talking about? I'm talking about a simple boundary to care for yourself daily, to show some self-love, some self-respect, some self— some gifts that you give to yourself. Sorry for the stumble over there. Well, like, think about it. You do so much for other people, but if you really wanna make something for yourself, you stop yourself from doing it. If you wanna get something for yourself, you stop yourself from doing it. If you wanna just pause and just sit down for a little bit, a breather, you stop yourself from doing it. So I want you to start to create and think of making this a boundary every single day. That's, I am a priority. Drop it in the comments below. And say, I am a priority. So you're committing that you're going to make it to the top 5 priorities every single day that you make your list, okay? Wherever you are, sometimes you're the first one, sometimes you're the fourth one, and sometimes you're the one right in the middle. Whatever that is, what are we doing here? We are reminding ourselves that when we take care of us, when we keep a boundary to do the things that we like, that could be a nice cup of coffee in the morning in the quiet. It could be journaling, it could be reading, it could be nature, it could be just taking a pause to breathe, meditating, whatever fills your cup, or even watching a small clip or a show that really makes you happy. This will make you a better daughter, a better mother, a better coworker, and who doesn't want to be that? So let me know, let us celebrate your efforts and your commitments to you by saying, "I am a priority." I am a priority.
