Design Your Energy

Coach Ambereen (speaker) briefly recounts a personal anecdote with her two-and-a-half-year-old nephew to illustrate how small, gentle shifts in behavior can change energy and focus. She offers simple, actionable techniques—bounce in place, ten deep breaths (inhale, hold 4s, exhale), or sit down to disrupt anger—and invites listeners to weekly Friday Zoom sessions for further learning.

Energetic day to you. I hope today finds with it positive vibes, goodness that are coming your way, all to make you a little bit better and for you to live a more fulfilled and joyful life. With that said energy, it's something that I really believe we as humans can generate, that we can cultivate, that we can produce. So I have a small story to share with you. I was with my nephew just, you know, doing something that I do on an ordinary day. I was praying and I asked him to come join me. So he stood by me and he began to follow what I was doing, which is what children normally do. He's about two and a half years old. And I noticed while praying now, he started to jump up and down, make a lot of noises, hop around, and of course I'm focused in my prayer, so I can't really course correct him, but I could definitely shift the energy to make sure he understands what's required right now. So I kind of just patted him on his back a little bit, like a soft, nice, gentle reminder pat. And I saw him no longer jumping. I saw him looking all the other ways except for focused on the focal points that we have while praying. And then a little nudge, kind of like, you know, the same way, just like a pat on his. Not even a pat, maybe just a little touch on his arm. And he quickly turned around and actually began to just focus and be more calm. So these moments, they come as a reminder. They come to remind me, to show me, and hopefully to some, reveal something to you about your own nature, about your own day, about your own children, about your own loved ones. And that is, how can we actually use energy to become better, to do something good with it, to actually transform and create the one that we want. Often, if you are tired, just stand up and bounce in place. If you can't bounce, take nice, long, deep breaths, 10 of them, in through your nose, hold it for four seconds out through your mouth. Do that 10 times. That'll shift your energy. Sometimes when we're really angry and mad and you're standing around, just sit down. And that pause and that sit and that change of action and habit will actually remind your brain that, hey, you're forcing yourself to shift and pivot. And I hope these small little tactics can actually serve you and make you better. If you would like to, you know, hop on these types of calls where you can learn something, I do do a weekly on Fridays at 11am on Zoom. I'll drop the link down below so you can register and join me. Week to week. Am hoping to see you there. Until then, sending you a whole lot of Umbergi filled with energetic and amazing, amazing, amazing, amazingness. Take good care of yourself. Lots of love. Bye.
