Family Bond, Unity, and Mental Health

Coach Ambereen narrates a reflective account of a family reunion held to celebrate Pakistani descent, using the event to emphasize gratitude, the importance of prioritizing family, and how mothers and caregivers invest time and effort to maintain unity. Through anecdotes (shared meals, shopping, helping each other, young children’s curiosity) she highlights small everyday actions that build deep bonds and encourages listeners to pause, appreciate, and actively invest in relationships.

Wise day to you and I. I pray that today is filled with moments where you pause a bit, I pause a bit, we pause a bit to really let the inner wisdom speak more than the chaos of our mind. Hey, your family, even coach, Coach Ambreen is here once again ready to serve you. And I actually want to take a moment to ponder and pause to reflect on a moment from yesterday. So yesterday is Pakistani descent and they had an event, so to speak, to celebrate Pakistan. And it was beautiful how our family just kind of get to got together. I'm talking about family, I'm not talking about just my mom, dad, my siblings, nieces and nephews, brother in laws and all that good stuff. I'm talking about my uncles, my aunts, my cousins, their kids. And it was such a simple yet beautiful reunion. Now we're all outside in the park, sitting on a table, listening to some music, having food together, shopping and kind of asking each other's advice on what to get and what not to get, asking which outfits are suitable for our faces, so on and so forth and all these simple things. And while I was eating dinner, I really just felt a sense of gratitude overcome me. I was like, wow, how blessed am I to be able to do this with the people who have been surrounding me since, you know, since I was born or maybe like in, since my youth. And it isn't like this is coincidental. Our family and the fact that there's so much unity between us is because of the fact that the mothers really poured in a lot of time, energy, effort, love, care to unite the families, you know, had it been for my aunt who maybe became a snot and was like, I'm not really taking time and effort, you know, to have these regular things with you guys or cook, you know, once a month a meal so that way we can all get together. Wouldn't have happened, you know, or if my uncle was like, oh no, I'm not going to pick up my niece and drop her off to school on a snowy day. It wouldn't have been the case. And every single time that I look at our cousins, the bond that we have, people have come up to us and asked like, what is it? It's so rare, it's so unique, what is it? And we just actually prioritize family. We take the time out to go and visit my cousin who may not be feeling well, or we go and we serve and celebrate my niece. And when I'm saying my niece, I mean my cousin's kiddos, right? Like go and do like you know what I'm really missing? Our energy. I'm gonna go and, like, soak it in. Or when we see my other nieces and nephews or my nephews who are two, you know, like little human, the age of two and one. And just the. Just the sheer level of curiosity and fun that they add into our lives because they're looking at life from such a pure mindset. So I really wish that today, this simple, you know, conversation of wisdom and really looking at life as a blessing and every single thing that happens to us only happens for us because we're willing to put forth the time, effort, and the energy needed to keep building a deeper sense of connection. With that said, as Umbergi, please, and always sending you a ton of love, ton of joy, ton of goodness, positive, vibrant, amazing energy. This is X Mom signing out. Bye.
