Giving Abundantly to Family

A short YouTube coaching video by Coach Ambreen (May 8, 2024) offering a practical tip for improving family relationships: intentionally supporting loved ones by setting and reinforcing positive intentions. The speaker uses a personal anecdote about helping her child prepare for a science test—waking him gently, prompting him to study, asking for his intention for the day, and encouraging a positive self-statement (“I got this”)—to show how small, intentional acts of support can uplift others and strengthen family bonds.

Hey, listen, day to you. I hope today you find so much splendor, so much beauty and so much glory as you carry about your day to realize and recognize the greatness that lives within you. Hey, for those of you who don't know me, my name is Coach Ambreen and I am a family driven coach and begun this series called Insights of X Mom where every single day I pour in a little bit of what I've observed in my own daily life and try to find tools and strategies how we can become better equipped to pour into our relationships. And I want to actually help all of us to add more joy, more love, more respect into our homes, especially into our families, which I think is one of the biggest and most impactful units that we actually get to surround ourselves with. All right, so let's get started. Today was a, a relaxed, calm day and I saw myself getting a little like, frustrated because my. Yeah, my second had a. Has a science test today that he didn't prepare for and I like him to be prepared. So woke him up in the morning and he sat there and I said last night we're gonna set the stage. Said, hey buddy, you didn't really study as much as you needed to. You spent a lot of time today just having fun, which is fine. Happens tomorrow when you wake up, the first thing I'm expecting is to go to the bathroom and you get right down to start studying and finishing up that study guide. So where you were, that way you're prepared for the science test. And it was nice. Woke up in the morning, give him five minutes to kind of unwind, then went back and said, all right, but it's time to get up and let's go. Saw him coming downstairs and this is not typical where he's studying in the morning time. And then the reminder came in my mind, said, what are you gonna, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna, how are you gonna show up right now? And I asked him, hey, what's your intention for today? Intelligent, intelligent kid. And he's like, I'm like, do you want it to be just that? Like, yeah, sure. And it kept boosting him up after a little bit, you know, like, hey, how's it going, man? Are you still feeling intelligent? You got this, you can do this. As the morning unfolded, you know, he finished most of the study guide and in the writing into school, he said, yeah, I think I'm ready, I think I'm good. Okay, great. What are you going to tell yourself before you start the test? Because as you all know, I'm super big on intentions and I think we can really serve our lives with so much more fulfillment and vibrancy and goodness when we create intentions for the stuff that we're going to get done and we have to do. And he said, I'm gonna say I got this. Like yeah, you remember your intention alongside with that. Remember that you're an intelligent kid and you got this. Why is all this important? When we can lift somebody up, we can make it about other people, not about ourselves. We show up differently. We show up ready to serve, ready to give, and ready to pour in the best of who we are into others. Imagine if somebody served you a half a cup of coffee because that's what they felt that day they felt half full. Doesn't make sense, right? When we intend to give to others, let's all work together to pour our best into others so we can uplevel and elevate not only them, but ourselves. I hope this insight was something that you can take back. Do share in the comments below. I love hearing from you. What did you learn? Okay, with that said, a whole lot of umbergy Boom boom coming your way. This is X Mom signing out. Bye now.
