Lead with Intentions: LauRina Radich ~ Wisdom & Growth with Nature as our Guide

Lorena Radich talks about reclaiming her expressiveness after years of self-suppression shaped by her parents' wartime experiences and immigration. She uses gardening and nature as tools for healing and grounding, and believes we're here to express our unique gifts rather than dim ourselves down.

And it is my honor to mention once again that this show, Lead With Attention is on an expedition to bring out the best of who we are and to discover pathways on how we can live more intentional lives. Our guest today, homegirl, Lorena Radic. She is somebody who was religiously put in my pathway to remind me to simmer down and calm down. She is wise, she is brilliant. She is calmness, she is persuasion, she is kindness. She is a coach. And she takes all the practices from her background in gardening and her life and really pours into people on how they can just grow through wisdom. And wisdom is that one thing that only time allows us to gain. And the way that I've seen Lorena's journey kind of unfolds in front of me as we were part of a lot of the same groups in the masterminds when we were just getting started and learning more about the services that we wanted to offer to the world. And the growth that I've seen in her is nothing shy of wisdom going viral or on fire. So please help me in welcoming my amazing guest. Lorena, welcome to the show.
Oh, thank you. I gotta clap for that. That was so good. Thank you. Totally awesome.
You are. Yeah, thank you. Thank you.
It's lovely to hear another's perspective of how they see you. So thank you.
Yeah. Well, thank you for allowing us to. To tap into your greatness. Because I know that there's so much that people today who are listening and tuning in can actually gain from you. And I think you bring a very different and a calm perspective. So for those of you who are here, you might get bits and bursts of the energy boost, but most of it is going to be a probably a tranquil and a calm conversation because Lorena allows us to go into that space of peace. So tell us something about who you are and what is it that you do, Lorena.
Well, first and foremost, I'm a spirit incarnate into a physical body. And in that physical body, I happen to be Lorena this time. And I've been many things and I do many things. I've never been able to pull it down to like one thing other than try to be the best that I am and find my sparkle in the world and in myself. To be present with it and learn to let go of what it does and just allow it to be what it is. And how that interaction and co creation has expanded in my world. And so it's been across the music genre, playing live, performing live and performing in recording studios and thank you. And gardening has been in my life for ever. I was thinking about that this weekend I just had my birthday and on my birthday just tell a little bitty story on my birthday what I do to honor myself in that day and the people that were there, my mom, dad and me, and they're both gone now and have been for quite a while. But what I do is I take a drive to the coast and basically we spend the day together. So we talk, we reminisce, we just have this beautiful space together as I offer my gratitude for them for being willing to take me on. Quite frankly, I was not calm as a child, let me tell you.
Okay, gotta go there. Okay.
Ceiling, Right. So understanding that I was thinking about, about this too, that, that I was born near the ocean. I was born in Norway. So I was born near the ocean just outside of Oslo, the capital of Norway. Immigrated to this country as a baby with my mother who was Dutch heritage and my father who was Croatian heritage, Yugoslav at that time. And we landed in the LA area which is near water, San Pedro, the Croatian community was there. And so my dad came back to his mother and father, who immigrants. So he's first generation here. Just a little backstory there. And so that was by the water. And then eventually moving up to Northern California, I'm by the water and I thought that's so interesting. So I Go there to heal, to connect with that deeper part of myself. Almost as if I'm connecting to a more ancient part of myself. Not just me coming into this world and living in this world, but that ancient part of me. And that leads me to the idea that. I do agree it takes time to gain wisdom, But I think the truth is, is that it takes time to unfold or uncover the wisdom that existed the moment we came in. Because when we come in, we are light. We are just like. We're happy. I mean, you're a mom, you know, you see what they're like, you know, and if they have poopy diapers or they're hungry, they're going to cry. But other than that, they're just this bundle of love and joy and sparkle and magic. And as we progress, something comes along and shifts our perspective. And it's usually a lie, but the lie is created very innocently by a child's mind trying to understand what just happened in an adult world. And that's when we go from Technicolor to black and white or some version of non Technicolor.
Okay?
And we live with all that. So that's what we need to peel off to find that wisdom again that we came in with. I have no idea if I answered your question or not.
I just went with it. I. You know, when. Before we spoke on. On this, you know, kind of arranging this conversation because it's. For those of you are listening, Lorena being here today is nothing short of a miracle, okay? She has so much to offer, yet we've really worked as a group to kind of bring forth the value that we see in her, which sometimes she has overlooked in our own self. So this is her giving herself permission and allowing us to really tap into that thing I always talk about is that greatness, you know, the Wakal is basically recognizing me as in something greater than this moment, the version we are today, the universe, God, whatever you call it. And when I told her, and I've been asking her for months now, and she's like, nope, that's nice, girl. We're good. We're good. All right. Good girl.
And I was like.
And it was then she finally, you know, she was like, umbre, I'm not there. And I think this time around, when I asked her, I was determined in a way where I had a bigger intention, where I took all the pressure off of you, and I asked you, hey, I need you. Can you show up? And I know how she works.
Oh, you need me? Yeah.
And I think when you know you are very service oriented.
Yeah.
Everything that you've said thus far is centered around gratitude. Our past, you know, like working and art and creation through gardening is serving nature. So now walk us through that journey. You know, you said that the version of you, you know, when you were younger. Thank God my parents put up with me. You said like I was not this calm. Right. So I wanna, I wanna dive in there because there are so many people who are listening who have like chaotic kids and they're like. These kids, they're just.
Yeah.
A lot of them say they're insane. They're crazy. They don't listen. So.
Yeah.
Allow us to kind of unpack that journey.
It was an. It. It's interesting because it's multifaceted. But one that comes up for me right away is the My learning and integration style and explosive energy was. Was me being my sparkle, letting that out fully. It's just like. Just go for it. And whether I step on toes or not, at that point there was no editing. You know, and that's true of all of us. We don't edit. It's the it. When we start to edit, that's. That's because we're. We're taking on something that's not ours and we're trying to fit into that. So we edit ourselves. And it's usually about safety. Yeah, I know, exactly right. It's usually about safety. And that safety is a very broad spectrum which can come down to bodily harm or just being, I want to say extricated from whoever you feel your tribe is. But because we're social beings, we came here to be together. We're co creating this reality. You know, it's. It's not. We're not on an island by ourself. We're co creating this reality and that piece right there. Okay, I just got lost. Ask me the question again. No, just.
You know what, keep going. Yeah. I love how you've dropped so much wisdom in that kind and just that my heart is literally so heavy right now. I'm getting teary eyed because what you said is what I also say. But I don't call it sparkle.
Yeah.
And I love that you call it a sparkle. I call it a gift.
Yeah, yeah.
And you said when we try to assimilate because we want to belong to community, we lose ourselves. So allow us to tap into that. Lorena, who was being explosive in herself and then it seems like things unturned.
Yeah, yeah, I. I know the exact moment and give me a second okay. I've never shared this out loud like this. So when I went from Technicolor to black and white, the moment was.
I.
Have to give some background. I. I can't. I can't talk about just the moment. Have I got time to give some background?
Please give us everything.
So I came in to a. What I feel is kind of a unique family with my mom being Dutch and my father being Croatian, which is like. They're like, you know, miles apart. Eastern European. Did. And. And just the fact that they even found each other and then created me is like, wow. But coming in to that family there. The other dynamic is that my mother was a spy as a child during the Second World War in the Dutch resistance, and her mother was also in the Dutch resistance. And while. When the war started and this was in Holland and Rotterdam was firebombed flat. And so her father was. He was a seaman, and so he was out with the Norwegians hiding plutonium, heavy water to make bombs from the Germans. And her and her mom were home, and they got involved in the Dutch resistance. So she was a child spy. And there was a point when they were a team, and then there was a point where they have to separate the teams so that if one gets caught, the other one can't give the other away. So there came that point in their relationship who. Okay, it still has a. I'm pretty good. I'm pretty good at telling that, but it's still has a little tingle for me. So she got herself through the war alive, and that was her only intention. I have not lived a life yet, so you can't take it away from me. I'm going to live through this. And the horrors that she lived through, she couldn't even talk about most of them, which, I mean, it's. Yeah, the.
What is it?
The Holocaust oral history is when she first started to speak about it and did an interview with Charles Kuralt. I can't remember the year and any other details. But anyway, so that. So there's that experience in my. In my world. And when she was carrying me, we were still in Europe, right. So I was in her tummy. And all this was super present because my father said, we're married now. We're gonna have a baby. I need to go see my family in Yugoslavia before this baby's born so I can give my full attention here. He goes to Yugoslavia, leaves her set up house, money, whatever, Goes to Yugoslavia, gets deathly ill and can't respond to any of her letters because the family doesn't want him to go back to the Dutch girl. He. They want him to marry a nice Croatian woman. Yeah. So he makes it back for my birth finally. But she's like, freaking out, and there's lots of backstory there, but just the idea of that coming up brought up all the war stuff, so that was present in me. So I've lived in a. In this funny world of having this fear of being seen because I'm a spy, but I never was a spy. I was an American kid growing up in the 50s and 60s and 70s, right. So this dichotomy going on in me, it was like that was part of the explosive energy back and forth and back and forth and back and forth, and where do I sit? Where do I land? What the hell's going on in this world anyway? Excuse my language, but. And having all this creative energy being a. Being a child and a person that takes in information physically and viscerally and, and, and audibly and. And then you go to school and they sit you down in a chair and in front of a desk with a piece of paper and a pen, and you gotta look at some one person for all day. And that's just like. I mean, you know, they talk about adhd, and I think, what's that? These kids need to be outside learning, right? Engaged in nature, you know, watching the bugs and climbing trees, you know, like, come on. So. So that part and, and where I found solace for myself growing up was by mountain water. And that kind of ties back to what I was on my birthday when I was at the ocean, I thought, oh, this is an mountain. Water is. Is. Is more current. It's like this life, maybe a few back, but it's current and it. It so nourishes my body. And coming back to the idea of gardening and plants, I was into house plants when I was a kid, 9, 10, whatever. So I've been involved with trying to grow things, and I didn't realize that, didn't put those two pieces together until my birthday. And I'm going, oh, plants. Well, heck yeah. My mother's family before the war, gardeners, you know, sharecroppers, that kind of idea in Holland and my. All my father's family. You were a farmer, you were everything. Because if you weren't, you didn't eat. It's all there is to it. Beautiful country, but a lot of rocks and you got to work hard. So the only reason that I came over here was because my father's father, my grandfather, immigrated in the early 1900s, with five brothers. Three went back, two went back, two stayed, one died shortly after he got here. And often on my birthday. I also include my grandfather because he was the one that opened the way for me to be here and experience this life this way with these parents, with my sister in this reality and have a place to be where I can have enough stability in just having my needs taken care of that I can put time and energy and focus on, okay, where the heck is my sparkle and what does it look like and why am I afraid of it and what's going on? And I've been doing that for. Since I was 9. My mom sat me down. She says, I'm going to teach you to meditate. I'm going to think, great, what does that mean? So, you know, it's. That's been part of it too, because that was also her journey when she got here and she realized, I am a white dove in a golden cage and this is not all there is to life. So she started digging spiritually. So I grew up with that just self discovery. And I just really feel like that that has. That's really the one thing that's tied my whole life together, self discovery. And I just believe in. And that comes. It's the wisdom collective idea. When I finally one day I went wisdom collective. That's what I'm up to. Because that's what we are. We're all a bunch of little wisdoms. And I would love to do it together, you know, in community. And we do that whether. Whether we know it or not. I mean, we do that by how we communicate with the checker at the grocery store, the attendant behind the counter, whatever it is that we're dealing with, who we're talking with. If we're online. I do live meditations in my backyard, in the garden, because I feel that it's a healing place. But there also, we're sharing our wisdom. Whether we're speaking or not, it doesn't matter. We're sharing our wisdom. And that wisdom is our divine spark. And why we're here, incarnate in the body, is to share that wisdom with each other so that collectively we all get it. Like the butterfly effect idea, right?
Get you tying it all right back into my stuff. Well, I think there's so much that you've said, and I'm probably gonna have to go back and re watch this episode because I try not try. I am very mindful of being present here. However, the energy that I'm feeling from you as you are Sharing your own story and saying, I know exactly when that moment happened where I was afraid of my sparkle. I didn't know. And as you explained to us and gave us more context, my right. When you said it, Lorena, you were like, oh, I still feel it. My back.
Yeah.
Felt it. My spine was there with you. And like, yeah, we're talking about this connection of souls.
Yeah.
You know, of the eight point, God knows how many billion of us in this world right now. And for every single one of you, you know, I'm so grateful to you to be here in this very moment, kind of being part of history and it's unfolding as Lorena steps into who she's meant to be. And she shared a little bit, and she's very, like, wise about it, very humble about it. Oh, I just kind of do, like, live meditation circles. Oh, I just kind of do this thing with gardening. What is it that you're doing? Kind of walk us through that service how, in a way, where you started to understand your value and your worth and that your life and your stories are worth sharing.
I love that. So let me put a period and end on the last bit of our discussion. So the moment for me, all that backstory was to be able to tell you the moment for me from going from Technicolor to black and white was a moment where I was being my full, sparkly self. And my mom freaks out. She doesn't say anything, but her energy freaks out. So my little self been. My little self, sparkly self, went, oh, I can't be that. And then my little self, in all its little wisdom, says, oh, that must mean because there's something wrong with me. And that's the beginning. And then everything that comes along that there's something wrong with you piles up, piles up, piles up, piles up. So I wanted to put a period on. Period on that moment for me. And so from then on, it was. It was that and then the moment where I was. I. When I really got at. There were. There were many moments where I was opening up. I. Sometimes I. I like to start with Elizabeth Kubler Ross. I worked with. Worked with her one on one and in group form. And I don't know if you know about her, but she started the whole death and dying, being present and conscious of death and dying. So I kind of started there. But there were many different teachers along the way. But the one moment that's coming to my mind that I would like to share is after my father died and I spent two years on his Property fixing and going through family stuff, 40 plus years. I'm sure a lot of you understand what that's like. And I had this need that I didn't even know I had when I was sitting down across the kitchen table from my sister. And both of us looking at each other, both with half acre farms at home. And his is an acre in Southern California. We're in Northern California. We're looking at each other. We're going to. It's plants. You can't walk away. And for whatever reason, what came up in me is, I'll go. So I uplifted my whole life and went down there for two years working on that property with the plants. I did a blog on it, which was a lot of fun. I believe it's NSAfarm.blogspot.com but anyway, taking pictures. And then I got onto the taking pictures. So I spent two years basically grieving and organizing. After my dad came back home, my musical business partner was diagnosed with cancer. So I spend the next three months helping him cross over. And after that I was catatonic. I thought, I can't take any more leaving around here. Would you guys just stop leaving me? It's like, what is up? So I was. I got. Then I started going. My friend, our friend, my musical partners. And my friend is also a Native American medicine man who was teaching a lot of his healing things. And we'd been involved with him for, I don't know, 15 years or something. And so he says, just come to classes. So I started going to classes five days a week. I didn't know what else to do, so I just kept going to classes. And then there was a moment in a break of one of the classes when I sat down outside to have my lunch and I went, oh, I get it. I am in the middle of grieving. But grieving is not who I am. The grieving is gonna come, it's gonna explode, and then it's gonna fade away. And this time I want to experience that fully in the moment. Not put it off to some time when it's more convenient, but I want to experience that now. And I started that conversation with myself by if indeed it's true that we are spiritual beings incarnate, made the choice to incarnate into a human body, have the experience fully. Let's not mess around. Let's just have. Right, exactly. Let's have the experience. Yeah. Yeah. In all of its colors, all of its sparkly colors. Because it all has wisdom for us and shows us what we know and Shows us what we can know. Answered it. But.
So, Lorena, you are giving me far more than the question I'm asking you, so never question yourself. I, you know, for everyone that's listening, I pray that you've understood. I don't bring on people who are not living intentional lives. And Lorena began the conversation off with saying, I'm just a spirit reincarnated into a physical body.
Yeah.
How intentional is a human being to start off with that? And then we're talking about wisdom today. Everything that you're sharing with me, I have, like, so many notes. So for those of you who are thinking, oh, she's like, tuned out. She's. I am just, I am taking my notes. I am so excited to be like, girl, drop it out. And this thing that you said, I really want us to, I want us to go there because for the audience, for the viewers, for the individuals that make this possible for us who come here to work on themselves and take away even one thing that they can start to see a perspective shift or take into their lives or discover. You said so much. You know, you said something like, self discovery has tied the whole journey together of my life. That's what it's been. And now you're talking about, I have, you know, even though I'm on a self discovery journey, I really chose not to feel my experience and kind of say, oh, I'll revisit you when I have time.
Right.
I believe we're, you know, as certified high performance coaches, we know that, you know, our mentor, Brendan Richard, often talks about this concept of feel the day more. Yeah. And most of us are running away from the feelings. I really want us to. To lean on your wisdom and allow you to give us some nuggets and let myself and my viewers know, how do we feel the things that are so hard. You're talking about grief and losing so many important people in your life, and it's happening back to back. And. And now you're just saying, oh, I'm going to discover myself again. Five days a week, I'm going on this. This class.
Yep.
Help us to find out and figure out how did you tap into that from, you know, in a way being absent about your feelings and then going into another pathway of saying, no, I need to be more present with them.
Mm. I'm not sure it's a how. I think it's a what.
Okay.
I think it's a perspective shift, and I think it's also a when. And I think the when is not a time, but It's a timing. And I believe that there's an inner clock. It's kind of like why I really love nature as a. A metaphor to a lot of. Of of how we grow and how we might want to grow, because it's also connected to a clock. And it's not a biological clock really either. It's this. It's this clock that. I guess in a sense it's this clock that sits in our higher spirit self, but it informs the physical body usually through feelings and also through acknowledgment, also through the, the timing when, like you were talking about in the beginning, different ways of saying the same thing, but it hits you and you go, oh, oh. I so get that. And it just is like. It's like a download. It's like you're downloading to yourself, this is the time, girlfriend. You know, this is the time, boyfriend. This is the time to be present for me. Because if everybody's leaving and if I'm in some. In. In. In some story that's keeping the lid on, which is I have to. I. I have to have others to be enough or to be valuable or to be. Have purpose. It's. It's connecting to that inner purpose. So. So it was that moment for me where I really went, oh, and I turned inward and I went. That's when I went spirit. I believe that. Okay. Incarnate in a human body. Yeah, I believe that. Did you come here to have the full experience? Yeah, I believe that. Well, okay, what's that like? And then it, then it bloomed from there. Well, then that means that if I'm here sitting in this grief, I'm sitting in it, but I'm not it. So that means. That means I'm sitting in this whole world right where I'm sitting in it, but I'm not it. It's like the greats, they'll say be in it, but not of it. You know, I just love that. And, and it, it certainly didn't hurt that I was able again, I was able to have free attention five days a week to attend these classes and, and put that focus on me and allow myself to have this. I wasn't at an 8 to 5 job. So I mean, my, the, the blessings in my world for allowing these opportunities to happen. You know, I would not have called it that when it was happening, but in retrospect, isn't it everything? An opportunity to learn something new. And so. Yeah.
Yeah. So what I'm hearing you say is that you have to give yourself Permission have to, in a way. Go ahead.
Yeah, that's interesting. I think it's more like, huh, let me think about giving.
Yeah. And I'll. While you're thinking about it.
Yeah, go ahead.
In my notes, as I'm, you know, reading about it, you're saying the when and for. For a lack of better word is divine timing.
That's good.
And the what is the self acceptance part. All facets of you. The angry person inside of you, the spy who doesn't want to be seen, the. The woman who is not feeling. And then you give yourself permission to value who you are and to validate you. Not external, but like you said, internal. And that's when that download comes into existence, where the soul says, oh, now you're ready. Okay, got it.
Yeah. Yeah. I love that I've never tied those two words together in my world. I would call that havingness. And permission is havingness. I love that I have to write that down. I'm learning from you too, which I always do. Mm. Oh, I love that. Yeah. And the idea of have. Having this is when. When we're all sparkly and we're not all covered up. It's just. It just is. It's like the universe is there with everything. It's all present for us, you know? But do we have the havingness to have it? Do we have the permission to have it? Do we give ourselves permission to go inside and have all that? All who we are? I ain't there yet, but I sure the heck like the ride, you know, I'm like on board. I. I'm like down with it. Let's do that. Let's learn more about going in and supporting ourselves from inside out and having that connection with our highest self, whatever. We want to call that, like you say, divine spark of God or higher universal energy, whatever. And being connected to the. God bless you. Being connected to. Oop, there's another one. God bless you again.
Thank you much.
Being connected to grandmother Gaia, to the earth, because we're also in co creation with her. She's the one that's there with us from minute one conception on. Right. And we've probably done it more than once with her. So she knows us and we know her. So we ground. We're. We're. We're dealing with the body, we're grounding the body. So here's some how tools. When you get freaked out. When I was getting freaked out. When I get freaked out, I ground myself. It's like to me, it's the very first thing I do is I ground myself and I ground to Mama Earth. I ground to Mama Gaia. So just take a moment, take a breath in, and as you're releasing that breath, allow your imagination to create a light coming out of your center, going all the way down into the center of the earth. And you're just creating this image, this feeling, this essence, this knowing all the way down into the center and allow your body to relax into it. And when you get to the center, allow yourself to spread out as if you were a tree and all your roots are filling the entire planet. So you are being able to garner that wisdom. And she knows you fully. And so you become a unit, you become co creators. She's holding space for you and your body, and you're holding space for her. And she's connected to the divine and you're connected to the divine, to your higher nature, universal life force she's connected to. Right. And so we all become one at that moment. Yeah.
Thank you for that journey.
You're welcome.
Because I, and I love the reference of the tree and I don't know, you know, for every single one of you, you know, who's here and tuned in and learning and growing and just becoming a little bit wiser with, with the way that we are not only with ourselves, but also with our loved ones. Because, you know, like Lauren, I saying, it's all connected. And when you put out aggressive and angry energy and then you wonder why your partner or your, you know, your friend or your kids are getting mad and frustrated, it's because they feel it. And what you did right there is that grounding exercise. I've never had this vision the way that you said it, and for me, the reference of a tree, because, you know, I love, love, love, love nature. It is, it is my peaceful place. That's where I go to. To Babel to get guidance, to detox, to purify, to cleanse, to heal. And I was there on Sunday after a lot of stuff that's just been happening in life. And I think, I mean, I enjoy challenges. Like, it's, it's. I just love Chad. I'm like. And then literally I was like, you know, I told my sister, I was like, you know what? Life is just like cruising. Said that a day and a half later, God's like, oh, you have a lot of fun Cruising seven boom. In like a day and a half. I'm like, okay, God, I asked for a growth, but these growth spurts kind of come to allow. And I call it a Growth spurt. Because I think as kids, it's part of our biology. As adults, we don't grow, and so we stay stagnant.
Yeah.
However, the simple activity and exercise for me was the tree is my service with. With the divine.
Nice.
And kind of like the branches. The trunk is that service, and the branches are the different ways I get to serve.
Nice.
Through the show, through being a mom, through being a certified high performance coach. The focusing on family, through my webinars, through coaching, through writing. And just like that, sparkle. Spreading it in ways that we don't know how it comes back. And then the little, small tenants. Right. That's kind of like the fruits.
Yeah.
That life will unfold.
Yeah.
Far beyond my wildest imagination.
Yeah. Yep.
Because it's just ever evolving and growing. And this time of fall, which we're in right now, is such a beautiful time to let go of the past because. Yeah. The leaves do it.
Yeah.
So they can start afresh.
Yeah.
And I've noticed, you know, fall has been a very grounding and an earthing experience for me. More so when I've. Since I've moved here, you know, about a year and a half, two years ago, than ever before. Because in California, I don't get to see fall. Instead of California, there's no fall. And coming to Chicago, one of the things that I've fallen in love with is, are all of these beautiful seasons. And that's what life is like. Just filled with brilliant seasons, you know?
Yes.
And I do want to take a moment here, and I want to shift a little bit. So I've got this tradition on this show. It's called an intentional wrap up. And, like, I'm sad just even saying it because I'm like, I want to wrap this up. I want to keep. I want to keep going. I want to keep learning. I want to keep growing. I want your wisdom to literally go viral, you know, I think it's brilliant what you have to offer to the world and. And the simplified manner that you communicate us. Very eloquent.
Thank you.
It's fascinating for me to be like, oh, like, she just. She's dropping. Like, I'm literally, like, trying to keep up, picking up those wisdom trails. And I'm like, she. It's not even like. It's like ginormous breadcrumbs are just falling. And I'm trying to be in this journey with you. And what I want to do with this intentional wrap up. And it's called a rapid fire. The reason why it's a rapid Fire is. I want you to answer these questions in one word or one sentence with whatever comes to your mind.
All right?
Okay. You ready for it?
I will do my best. Yep.
I got nothing to worry about. Your best is amazing. Okay. What do you want to leave behind for the world, Lorena?
More sparkle.
How will you know that you've led an intentional life?
When I feel in alignment with myself.
If you could create one law that everybody had to follow, what would that one law be?
Be true to your natural self.
We are going to come back to that one. What's the key to a healthy relationship?
Compassion. And allowing them to be who they are and allow yourself to be who you are.
So compassion and authenticity, it seems like.
Yeah. Yeah.
Okay. And now, what's that one change that you want to see in the world?
I think it really comes back to the idea of that if we all. I just read this recently, and it's so beautiful, and this is such a perfect time to share it, that if we all are singing our true note, if we are all shining our true color, then this place would be in harmony, because we would be encouraging that from each other, modeling that for each other and being that with each other. So there would be harmony. And two things cannot occupy the same space at the same time. So if we are being in harmony, however that rests for you. Because that's what's important, is that it rests in your truth. However we're being. That dissonance cannot exist. It can't. When there's harmony, there ain't no dissonance because it's harmonious. So to me, that would be the rule that everybody had to. Had to sing. Shine their color, their light of their highest true self.
Yeah. Which is such a beautiful thing. I said we will come back to it. And you did. When I said that one law. Yours, like, just shine on. Yeah, that. And I think what's such a great way to wrap up this conversation of. You began it by saying that, you know, music and gardening and this stuff has kind of allowed me to be and to express creatively. And here you are tying it all to say, if we can sh. You know, if we can sing our note, Shine our colors, this place will be in harmony. And for me, that's key, you know, especially when it comes to the unit of family and relationships. Oh, where.
Absolutely.
You know, where we get to be all that we're meant to be. And for every single one of you who is here until now, thank you for allowing us to take you on this journey. I really really hope that you've learned something, that you've grown in some way. And I want to thank you, Lorena, for. For this. For giving us the ability to share a space with you, for your wisdom, for your presence, for your energy, and just for your brilliance.
Thank you. Can I. Is there time for me to say one thing?
Sure.
I just want to speak to the parents because I know there's a lot of parents here. No matter what's going on with your child, know that that child is trying to shine its brightest light. And when there's frustration and whatever, it's because they're not being able to do that. So your guidance and your wisdom and your love to allow them to find that for themselves more frequently, more often at a younger age, so they don't have to go through what I went through, you know, or what you may have gone through in your life, and you're still trying to uncover your own sparkle. Allow that. Their sparkle to allow your sparkle to shine, too. It's like perfect opportunity. So, yeah, I just wanted to say that because it's. Yeah, like you say, it's the foundation. You know, we're building the foundation as parents for new human beings for the future.
Right. Like. And I love your involvement in this. Heather's are one of our homegirls, too. She is part of our crew. And Heather is saying, I love this. This is the time for me to be present for me. And that takeaway is brilliant because I think as moms, we don't prioritize ourselves. And as the show comes to an end, I want to say that it can be heard on Spanglish Radio Network. Please check out Spanglishworld CA for all the news and the programming as we close, it is my prayer that the show will embark us on a journey of transformation.
