Listen to Intuition be a Better Parent

Coach Ambreen shares how she trusted her instinct on her son's 14th birthday to sleep in and start the day at 9:00 instead of rushing. That extra time for prayer, meditation, and journaling shifted her mood enough to show up as a calmer, more present parent.

Honoring day to you. I pray that today we start to really honor your life and see how blessed you are to be here present on this earth. For those of you who do not know who I am, my name is Coach Ambreen, and I show up here to serve you and your loved ones as consistently as I can. And today is a beautiful journey that I want to share with every single one of you here. First of all, thank you so very much for tuning in and listening and watching and engaging. That's what actually lights up my world. To know that the work that I'm doing is valued. It is shifting perspectives. It is giving parents and loved ones a few more tools on how to just be strategically better, emotionally better, physically better, mentally better for our loved ones. All right, so let's get started. Today is. It's. Today's conversation is a little bit about sharing my voice and really listening to my inner being to recognize and realize what I want for my own self, which sounds a little bit different, but I'll kind of help you tie it back into family. So it's my little human's birthday today, and he's turning 14. Super excited. We've kind of been doing small things here and there to prep for for today. And I went to go wake him up in the morning and woke him up, and I sang him his beautiful birthday song and his mama boy in my mama voice. And he goes, oh, oh, that's weird. And he was kind of asleep, not really waking up. So I said, hey, bud, you gotta get. You gotta get up. You have to go to school. Don't you want your friends celebrate with you? And he just wasn't having it. He wouldn't even open his eyes. But I could see that he felt the love and he felt the care. And there was a voice inside of my mind, which I began to lean on a little bit, and it said, be spontaneous. Let him sleep in. I'm not one of those moms who let the kids show up late to school or to practice or to, you know, to those things. I try to make sure that things are pretty consistent and disciplined. But here I am understanding and knowing that this may not be a bad idea because today is his birthday. And so I went ahead and listened to my inner being and I said to myself, well, what do I do? Let them sleep in. Drop them off by 9 o'. Clock. Because both of my kids weren't waking up, and I just did that. And while I was doing that, it felt really good because I could take a pause for myself. So during the time that they were sleeping, I went ahead and I prayed, I meditated, I journaled, I read. And then I was like, yeah, the mom that's showing up now is so much better. She's so much more excited for the day, and she's really ready to embrace the journey and show up as her best self, which I know every single one of you does. Every single day. You guys take small shifts and moment momentum that actually bring you closer to your best self. With that said, sending you a whole lot of umbergi. Take good care of this ex mom signing out. Bye.
