Prioritizing Self Worth and Gratitude

Coach Ambereen talks to a mother caught in self-criticism and suggests picking one daily priority instead of trying to excel everywhere. Name one thing you did well each day and share it with a partner or child. Gratitude and self-appreciation shift how you show up in relationships.

Hey, devoted day to you. I pray that today is a day.
Where you actually commit to a higher level of integrity and excellence as you go about your day and serving all of your interactions. Hey, I am Coach Ambrain, a family driven coach who shows up here and.
Provides insights as to how you can better parent, how can you combine your family or unite your family in a very different frequency. And today what I found out is I had already pre recorded a clip for you and, and I tried to upload it and it just was not working. So I, you know, a few hours back I recorded it and then I started to hear back and I found out that it is not working. So here I am making a second attempt to add some value into your conversation, into your day. I just finished talking to a mother.
Whose kiddo I coached in soccer.
And all I kept hearing her say.
Was how bad she is, how she's not enough, how she's not striving to be her best, how she's nothing like her mother and the people around her because she can't keep a clean home because she got an A on her grad school course and she didn't deserve it because a teacher she assumed isn't really reading her work. And I had to ask her, why is it that you think you're not worthy of appreciation and self love and just kindness for your own, you know, your own self?
And she's like, I know the right things to say, but I don't. I can't say them. And the conversation went on for about a 20 minute, you know, long, just.
Back and forth where I tried to cheer her on and champion her, but.
She wasn't really willing to listen and change her mindset.
So I asked her, you know, I know you want to get an A plus in everything in your home life, with your family, with your husband, with your chores, with your grad school, with your teaching, with you as a community member. However, what if every single day you're going to find just one thing that's your priority? Not having a list of things in every single section of our lives, expecting for those to be priorities. What if we started living from a mindset where every day we defined one priority, one thing that we had to get done that was the most important thing and we just delivered that and we made that into a continuum, taking simple and consistent action to just figure out what the priority is and then get it done.
And then as you departed, she goes.
Yeah, I can do that.
Said everything in life, every single day.
Can be a priority.
You can't cook a fresh meal every.
Single day, Be the best and most.
Amazing mom, get an A in your grad school work and, you know, keep the house super clean and then still go and mingle with your friends and.
Dedicate devoted time for your husband. However, what if you practice just a simple sense of gratitude for yourself? And I asked her, hey, share with your husband. Or if you're here watching and listening, write down one thing that you did that was amazing today. Just one thing.
If you have a partner, a spouse, a kiddo that you think is, you know, it's going to be simpler to share with them.
Go ahead, share with them. Ask them and tell them what is one thing that you did great today and really start to take on this role of championing yourself.
Because when you do that, your whole narrative and your perception changes to be one that better serves you, which then again pours into every single one of our relationships. And that's what I want you to do. I want you to start living in.
A mindset where you are practicing being a role model and understanding that the.
Way that you think about yourself will impact everything that you do. And as always, this is Coach Umbrean sending you a ton of umbrella and a whole lot of goodness as I ex mom and signing out by.
