I hope today brings with it moments where you feel like you're conquering the day because you're able to conquer your mindset or your thought set or your heart set, whatever you want to call it. I am starting this new series where I actually pour in every single day and talk about some insights I, as a mother, I'm gaining. I have this Persona that I want to live into. An ex mom, a mama who embraces, accepts, loves her kids, and truly steps up to be her best version, because her kids, that's what they deserve. And so today is no different. Today we're going to talk about a few insights that have been gained throughout the day, especially in those special morning hours where the kids are heading into school. And today, I knew it was going to be a little challenging, so I embraced it and I said, all right, I will welcome it all. After I got my mindset to a place where I had meditated and jogged and did the things that were necessary and set myself up for success, I went to go wake up my kids. And my eldest had actually stayed up a lot, a lot late to get some of his work done and prepare for an exam that he had. And so I knew it was gonna be a little bit difficult to get him, like, out and out of bed really quickly, so applied a lot of grace and patience and just encouraged him with, like, love to say, hey, you can do this. Come on, buddy. I believe in. You know, I believe you are probably a little more tired than usual, but, you know, we're gonna kind of just push through and just supporting him with hugs and kisses and helping him, you know, with his hand to get him out of bed was something that I think was really pinnacle in the way that he woke up. And the other two. My daughter decided to actually keep alarms to wake her up today. But when I just gave her hugs and kisses because I felt like it, she was like, is it time for me to get up? Oh, my God. I didn't even wake up right now. It's like these alarms that never ring and they never go off. And now she's in this place where she woke up in a rut. And I said, hey, I need you not to wake up like that. Remember, your morning is so important, and you really have to be excited to wake up. And she was like, but it never rang. The alarm never rang. I kept so many, and I still didn't wake up. And I said, yeah, the alarms ring, but you're probably too tired to hear them, and that's okay. And. And in this exact moment, I could have said, five alarms ring. I kept turning them off and you wouldn't wake up and yada, yada, yada, yada. But I had to embrace the ex mom inside of me. And I said, how can I turn this around to make it something that hopefully will change her whole day? I said, hey, you know what? It happened. You tried. It didn't work. Maybe from tomorrow on, I can go back to waking you up. If that's what you want, you just gotta ask. So here in this minute, I paused, I reflected, I understood the importance of this morning hour and how she needed to change her mindset. But then I also gave her support to say, hey, if you need me and I want you to be courageous and ask. And so she said, I'm not good at asking for help and that I already know about her. I said, great, you're not good at it. It doesn't mean you can't get better at it. I hope this simple insight today is something that you can take and apply into your own life. How do we actually move a situation to be more forthcoming of love versus being reactive, of just taking a pause to be your best and really understanding that, yeah, it's tough for kiddos to wake up at six in the morning and head out to school. And so grace is such an important part of how we as parents show up. First and foremost for ourselves and then hopefully for our little humans. I'm sending you a whole lot of goodness. Ex mom is now signing out.
