Scheduling Quality Time

Coach Ambereen helps someone restart a weekly family call they'd let slip. They commit to Thursday at 7pm every week and set reminders so it actually happens.
Questions this video answers
At least once a week.
Thursday.
7pm.
Hi.
Hi. I really enjoyed the reminder to actually schedule time and put it on my calendar with my family. Like, I. I was really good about visiting my parents, like, on a weekly basis, and then just like, allowing life to get, you know, in the way of everything. And then now it's become, like, maybe like every two weeks or every three weeks, and then I'm not calling them as often. So actually having that reminder there and maybe even if it's like a ping on my phone or something, to schedule the time, like, call your mom, you know, and, like, go visit. So that was super, super helpful for me. So thank you.
So, moving forward, what do you think you're going to do? How often are you expecting to call your family?
Honestly, at least once a week. Like, check in with them. Like, at least once a week.
And when do you think is that day? When's the most flexible day that you have?
I'm gonna say Thursday.
There we go. Do we know what time that is?
I love that you're doing this, by the way, because it actually forces me to. To now go and schedule it, so. No, this is good. Okay. Thursday at 7pm There you go.
I'm sure your mom and dad will be very happy that you're getting a call.
Yeah, they're getting a call at 7pm on Thursday from you. They're. They're routine people. So it's like, if I don't call them that day at that time, they're going to be like, oh, what happened? Why didn't you call yesterday? So.
And, like. And let them know that, hey, if I don't call, call me because you want to feel what they feel and tell them that. And I think it's important, so I'm glad I did that. So now you know exactly when to go into your calendar and take care of business.
I love that. Thank you so much.
You're welcome.
Take good care. You too.
