Hey, successful day to you. Thank you so very much for showing.
Up here as we tune in to one more episode of Insights with X Mom. As I show up here ready to serve you. My name is Ambreen and I am a certified high performance coach. And I really love to work with families. And I think this relationship is something that's so key in the world that we live in now and that like everything else, family needs time, support, attention to foster a relationship, to really build that deep, meaningful connection and to engage a level where it's going to serve you not now, but also in the long run. And I think the key is making sure that you're authentic to your family.
So making sure authenticity just literally means what is it?
The. Well, how do you want to show up? What are the ways that your family loves to embrace each other? What are the activities that you guys like to do together? What are ways that you like to spend your time together? And today what happened was my brother in law came to drop off my.
Nephew and he's going through something, I don't know what it is, but he's going through something where every single time.
He comes to our house, you know, he will cry, be sad, kind of get really clingy to his parents.
And so my brother in law comes.
I was sitting outside journaling and trying.
To take my nephew, like literally, like.
Take him off of, of, you know.
Off of his cuddle and he just isn't going.
So I asked my brother in law.
Permission, like, hey, can I just grab and go?
And he goes, okay.
So then I literally picked him up, scooped him into my arms and the.
Whole time my nephew just stared at his dad. He said nothing and he just stared. And his dad's trying to like lift him up, pump him up or try and be like, okay, give that a high five, do something. Nothing. He just stayed really quiet. And then, so you know why I let him be, he stayed quiet.
And he's, he's a chatterbox. He loves to talk and get that engagement and get that attention.
And I told myself, you know what.
There'S nothing wrong with that.
He's not expressing any type of sadness. He's not, you know, saying anything mean.
Let him be.
And I'm telling you, he just, I.
Took him, I sat outside and I said, you sure you just want to stay quiet and, you know, and cuddle with me? He said, yeah. I said, all right, let's give me a good hug. Then literally held on to me, embraced.
Me, you know, for 5, 10, 15 minutes and I just sat there finishing my journal entry while being super appreciative of the fact that we have built a family, that there is a deep, meaningful connection. My brother in law is literally like my brother. I lean on him for support. He is a great impact in the lives of my family members and lives of my children. He, he's somebody who my mom looks at as a confidant, as a son, you know, and all of that wasn't something that was given to us. We literally put time, effort, energy, both ways to build this bond now where.
We can pull each other's legs, talk.
About the most difficult things, support each other's journey, cheer each other on, and also hold one another accountable. And I think, you know, oftentimes we just assume that it's going to work out because it's our family, but it's really not going to work out. If it's your family, you're going to.
Actually need to put a lot more effort, love and care into it because it is your family, because it is.
Something that we, as natural as human.
Beings naturally just take for granted. So to create an authentic bond, what.
Are you going to do today? What are you going to do to show and express that love and that courage and that engagement and that joy?
Share that with me because I would.
Love to hear it.
As always, sending you a ton of umberji, which is just courageous, pure, positive, loving, radiant, authentic energy as we close.
Out by saying this is ex mom signing out. Bye, folks.
