Comment down below, let us know what you believe the difference is. Let's take it a step further into the next layer. What is the differentiator between reacting and responding? I often ask parents I work with to journal on these questions, and the insight is very similar. In one, you're just being automatic without thought, and in the other, you're being proactive, you're being mindful. Let's take it a step further. Wouldn't you agree that as a partner, you're kind of stuck in the same loop, arguing about the same thing with the same end result? Why? Because you've stopped taking responsibility and you've just been operating from reaction mode. As a coach, I am paid to push you to elevate your growth, to shift your behaviors, and let go of the narratives that are no longer supporting you, your marriage, your family, your kids, your home. How? By reminding you of the power of just the pause, which gives you choice. It gives you an opportunity to show up differently. So you can reset in less than 90 seconds. Continue watching so we can explore the steps on how you can make this effective tool something you take back and actually implement in your home. Here is the power of coaching. What is one question you can ask yourself when your kiddos are not listening or when your spouse is being disrespectful? Step 1: Write that question down. Like, right now, write it down. Step 2: When you see that things are getting difficult, when you're feeling frustrated, anxious, angry, irritated, I want you to take a pause. Step 3: Add 3 intentional, nice, long, deep breaths. Something like this. Now, step 4, answer this question, this specific question that you just wrote down, in the moment where everything just feels reactive. What are you doing? You're completely shifting the narrative and taking back choice and ownership to show up differently. You're resetting in 90 seconds. Recalibrating to show up as the best and a better version of you as a parent and even as a spouse. Now, I've created a tool. Why?
