Your teen does not show up with compassion. Your spouse lacks empathy, and you feel like you're always in this space where you're just busy solving problems. Does this sound like your life? If it does, stay until the end because I've got a solution for you. Teen meltdowns, nothing new. What if you could set new expectations? A client of mine had gotten used to the door slamming, the emotional turmoil, and the constant disrespect because he let his kids and their hormones lead the way. So I challenged Adam. I said, hey, in order for something to change, you've got to set new expectations and communicate them consistently. Why? Because your kiddo is not used to it. They're going to test you, push your boundaries to really see, are you going to hold them accountable to a higher expectation? Or if you don't, for the next 6 years, your home is going to be in complete turmoil. Adam was very committed, so he decided to level up. Now stay until the end to hear about the actual transformation than him and his home went through, which is remarkable. Let's dive into the most sacred union. Yup, that's right, your marriage. A relationship that thrives with empathy and shrinks with disrespect. By the 5-year mark, many women start to regret their marriages. Why? Because you have taken on more than you can manage. And you somehow feel like your husband is not empathetic. Have you ever sat down with your husband and asked him for help? Consistent, constant support, not a one-off where you say, hey, can you handle this for me? Actually giving away some responsibility to him for the next 7 days and really allowing him to do his best, not your best, his best. If you are someone that's ready to take this challenge on, where you're going to give one thing away to your husband, expect him to do it to his best, comment "his best, not mine" down below. Keeping the momentum going, let's focus on the most important being in your life. That's you. I know You and the rest of the world are just usually on this autopilot motion, consuming about 4 hours of content a day, then wondering why you feel so depleted, why happiness is missing. Now, I'm a coach, and my job is to elevate you. Keep listening only if you are somebody that is willing to invest in your well-being. Here is the truth. Not every problem is yours to solve. Let me say that again. Not every problem is yours to solve. Now, sometimes compassion and empathy means prioritizing yourself and your well-being and your needs first. Now, in the comments below, I want you to write down, "I am ready," if you're somebody that's really willing to invest back into yourself and your own well-being. Now there is something I need to pick up, and that is a story about Adam and his team. Whatever happened in 90 days, a transformation, because Adam decided to show up with consistency as he was very committed to his family. In 3 months, his home went from slamming doors, emotional turmoil, and disrespect to reiterating the exact same boundary. You can communicate. However, a sense of calm is expected, and respect must be the way. You see, what happened was his teen learned after pushing the boundary, trying different things, that this time Dad was consistent, that nothing was going to get in the way of that expectation, that the hormones, the emotions can no longer lead the way.
