Cat Testimonial

Kat from Straight Talking Ginger shares how Amber McCue's Freshly Implemented coaching program shifted her mindset, kept her accountable, and connected her with other business owners. She credits the community and coaching for helping her move past the blocks that were holding her back.
Hi, I'm Kat. I am the owner at Straight Talking Ginger which is a coaching and mentoring service for business owners who are ready to really step up. I'm also the co founder of our online mentoring and coaching group program for women who are really ready to step up, take their business to the next level and meet like minded people and get that support. That's me. The last time I heard about Amber and freshly implemented was through her plan a thon back in November, December 2016. Found it online. I love myself a little bit of accountability and joined in that program, got really engrossed in all the videos and the training and the resources and then obviously found out about Fresh and I didn't join straight away, I didn't join up straight away. I kind of sat on the sidelines. However, a friend of mine, a business friend of mine was already in the program and couldn't stop raving about it. So did a little bit more research and yep, Amber was fantastic. She allowed me to contact her, asked her loads of questions about it just to satisfy some of my concerns and then it was a no brainer. I dived in and it's fantastic. So my favourite part about being in Fresh is really being connected with a group of people who are just ready to do it. They get it, you don't have to explain your business to them. They understand the same struggles, they understand the same celebrations, whether they are big or small. And I love that about Fresh, bringing that community together. Because I'll be honest, normally if I join group programs I kind of lurk in the background and do that kind of quiet watching things unfold. However, what I love about Fresh is I was just ready to dive in because it's a great space, everybody's there for the same reason and everybody's got your back. That's the best thing about it. Everybody's got your back, everybody's willing to give you feedback, input, ideas and it, you know, there's nothing like that at all. It's a community, it's great. That's what I love about Fresh, that community feel about it. Specific problem that I came across time and time again is those mindset monkeys that get in the way. We were in the process, me and my co founder in the process of setting up our group coaching. We'd done it for a little bit and there are some amazing women in that group who've done it already. You know, they've got their masterminds, they've got their group coaching and to learn from the very best was really helpful. One of the things that I kept doubting myself about was the numbers, the conversions, was it working? You know, where we getting the people through the door that we wanted to get through the door and you know, our numbers are small to start, however, getting that feeling and the feedback to say, stick with the process, trust it, stop trying to do a million and one things, just follow it through and trust, trust the process. That was the biggest thing that came back time and time again, both from Amber and from the group. Sometimes we like to second guess ourselves and, you know, and try and work it out. But what's really great about that group is the instant feedback that you get or again, those ideas coming forward, you know, to try something different, you know, if something really isn't working. But for me, it was that specific problem about not trusting the conversions because the numbers felt too small when you watch everybody else doing big, massive launches. But actually that's the best thing that came out of it. It doesn't matter how big or small it is, everybody's there to encourage you and cheer you on and make sure that you stay focused on that one goal rather than going all over the place. Why freshly implemented is great for me is because ultimately it allows me to get in a virtual room with people who get it, you know, they understand what's going on and it really has allowed me to move my business so much faster in such a short space of time. And it keeps me focused. I love accountability and I'm a process person by trade. I love it. It's easy for me. It's an innate thing that I follow through in tasks. But where Fresh takes it to a new level is Amber really knows you. She gets to know you as a person. So whilst there are, you know, a ton of other people in there, you almost feel like it's a one to one experience. She knows everything about you. She wants to celebrate what your wins are and help you through those struggles. That for me is where Fresh is really set apart and that for me works. That's why it works for me. So I'm based in the uk, Scotland, and you know, the group is primarily made up of, you know, people from the other side of the pond, as we would say. But actually don't be put off by that. In terms of time zones, it works. You can get involved. That group's there 24 7. Somebody's always there to either tag or jump into those conversations. And you know, I've not missed a speedmastermind session. I've not missed an open studio. The time zone works. There's plenty of space, opportunity and options in there for you. So if that's a barrier for you or you're hesitating because you're not sure about that, there are a few of us in there from the uk, so don't let that put you off the time zones. We have Internet. We can go anywhere in the world, so it's not a problem.
