Day 1.3 What Will I Focus On to Close the Gap? 2016planathon.com

Hey, everyone. Welcome to video 3, Day 1 of the 2016 Plan A Thon. I've got my helper here with me now. I couldn't keep her away any longer, and she's actually demonstrating the pivotal reason why we want to think about focus, one of our themes in the 2016 Plan a Thon. Because there is more going on. There is more going on in our lives than business. So if you have other things going on or if you have a key goal that you want to meet in your business, it is pivotal that we focus and we don't get distracted by all of the potential things that could keep our attention outside of the things that we need to really do and get an action on to move our business forward. So with that in mind, the first thing that we did today was accept the challenge not to do it all. The second thing that we did was we set our goals. So now we want to identify from where we are today, our current reality. This is my current reality. I got a lot going on with your current reality and where you want to be. Then look at where you want to be with the goals that you set. What things, what things do you need to focus on to bring those goals to life? So what do you need to do to get yourself from here, where we are today, to there, where we want to be at the end of 2016? So these might include things like learning and development opportunities. There may be things that you want to learn so that you can move the needle forward in different areas of your business. There may be systems that you want to implement. For example, I'm thinking about webinars next year. So I'm going to learn a little bit about webinars, how to really perform them well and execute on them well. But I also want to set up strong systems around them so I can seamlessly set them up, execute on them, and follow up on them and have maximum impact. With webinars in 2016, you may also want to think about who's going to be on your team, who's going to be on your team, what tools you need to execute on these things. Are there different technology systems that you might need to invest in or you might need to think about from mailchimp to infusionsoft or ontraport. So what are those things from a learning and development perspective, a systems perspective, a team perspective, or a technology systems perspective that you might need to focus on? Now, on the flip side of this, there are going to be things that pop up to distract you throughout the year. So there might be new courses on the market that are related to podcasting, but podcasting may not be your area of focus or that are related to list building, but list building may not be your area of focus. So those things that are not in your area of focus go on your keep on driving list. Speaking of distractions, so those things go on your keep on driving list. And when they come up throughout the year, you're just gonna keep on driving and go back to your goal card. Go back to these lists that are in your where you've identified your areas of focus and remember what you are working towards and that'll keep you very focused on the next step. The other thing that'll help you with that we're gonna go over a little bit more in the next video is related to your 90. The other thing that I want you to keep in mind is you're thinking about where you're going to focus this week is anything that's on your learning and development. You know, if you are thinking about building sponsorships for your business, if you are thinking about webinars, you might want to go to Mariah's video later this week. If you're thinking about list building, Natalie's video on list building will be great for you. So even this week, think about. All right, what am I focused on?
