Intuition Flex Muscles Video Amber McCue.m4v

Amber McCue shares how she learned to trust her intuition in photography and business. She walks through real moments when gut instinct guided her decisions, and explains why practicing intuition matters for success.
Hi. Today's post is brought to you by my intuition. No, really, my intuition. Let me explain. I'm the co founder of a boudoir photography boutique and a week ago we were shooting and I'm on the other end of the camera and I'm sensing from this person that she has got to be in sales. She's gotta be. I know she's in sales, just ask her, ask her. So I blurted out in the middle of this very intimate shoot set, are you in sales? From around the camera? And she said as a matter of fact I am. And we talked a little bit about the type of sales, all that good stuff. And I was feeling on like how did I know that? I just knew. And then at the end of the day in the shoot, another shoot, I was on the other end of the camera again and sensed that this person wants to be mother. She's going to be an amazing mother. How many kids do you want? I said from behind the camera and she said three. That's a little weird. But the point is that my intuition was dead on. I felt it, I trusted it, I opened up to it and I understood in response from the responses that I got that I was spot on. Then later in the week I was reading a book for the first time. Michael Port. I hadn't read any of his books before and about midway through chapter three of the book I was reading, he. He talked about the importance of using your intuition in business intuition. This is the second time this week this has been brought up to me. And then I went to bed another night in the week reading a book called Thinker Toys. I'll post a link to that in the bottom. It's a lot of fun. And I was reading a chapter, I flipped right open to a chapter that's about how to flex your intuition muscle. The chapter tells stories about how many leaders, many successful leaders in business have trusted their intuition and reached wild success because of it. For example, Sam Walton went against the grain, ignored the trends in business and decided not to open Walmarts in big, big cities and opted instead to open them in smaller towns but have a bigger experience at a discount price kind of keeping Ask yourself some questions such as what's in my best interest? What should I do? What are other target markets? I could consider what target markets are preferred. So ask yourself questions about whatever the problem is and don't answer it. Wait for the answer to come to you. Just feel it and you'll be guided by those feelings and by your intuition as to what the right answer is. The point is, when you start to let go of some of the way you think things should be, or let go of some of the worry or the shoulds or the things we impose on ourselves, that the answers will start to just naturally come. And the more you play with it, the more you trust and the more you test your intuition, the more dead on it's going to be and the more you'll trust it. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
