This is a YouTube video titled "Reclaiming Time and Ditching Overwhelm: A Guide to Doing Less Better" featuring a podcast-style conversation with Megan Flatt, a business growth strategist and author of the book "Focused." The discussion centers on strategies for improving focus, embracing neurodivergent principles, and managing time effectively to reduce overwhelm and increase productivity. The content is a monologue and interview format but does not include Amber McCue as a participant.
I mean, I think the most important thing is really trusting yourself. I think focus is a skill. I think just like you could say, like, well, I'm not good at tennis, but if you've never tried, if you've never practiced, sure you can. You just need to get out there and practice and you need to figure out what, like, works for you. I think it's the same thing for focus. I think it's so easy for people to say, I can't focus. And even like, we based a lot of the book on neurodivergent principles and we really dove into how, I think really embracing, like, my brain works differently. But that doesn't mean you can't focus. It just means it's going to look different for you than whatever that traditional advice is. Get up at 5 in the morning, do this, do that, whatever that is. It's not that you can't do it, it's that that doesn't work for you. And so I think my advice is like, just really embrace your brain, your joy, your energy, and find what works for you. If you work best at three in the morning, great. If you work best in by blocking out one full day a week to just focus in for a full day, great. You know, like, whatever it is for you, like, embrace that and don't think like, oh, but I should be doing it this way. Hey. Hey.
