About five months
Chapters
Hi, I'm Andrea Jones. Thank you for watching our ERP selection series. This works for any system, but we've really been mostly talking about the context of erp. To summarize the five steps, we have requirements gathering, which can be aided by a sub video on technology landscape mapping. And then we have find systems and vendors that can fit. And then we move into conducting demos with real data.
That's three.
Number four, understand the nuances of partnership. Very important. This is a long partnership you're about to embark on. And number five, make an informed decision. All right, so those are the steps. There are a few other things that have come up and I'm going to do it.
Maybe a bridge video or two on these.
One is all of the things on.
Which you should be prepared to negotiate or at least understand and look for within the contracting process.
We're not lawyers.
We don't purport to be lawyers. We've looked at a lot of these contracts, though, and we'd like to share the value that we have experienced with pointing out some things. Okay.
The other one is change management. I did a whole series on change management in the Adkar process. We'll be doing another one with respect.
To working genius as well.
With respect to change management here, though, the selection team has been working on.
This for some time.
I probably should do one on the timeline as well.
It's about five months to do this right, so they know what's going on.
You're going to be explaining this to an organization that possibly is clueless. And people don't love to change just like that.
So it has to be handled with care and sensitivity.
So those are the two things we'll talk about as a bridge before we.
Move into what everybody expects, which are the five steps of implementation.
All right, so that's what you have to look forward to. And again, appreciate your watching the ERP.
